How we could do with a Kevin Long-type loanee now. He'd show our CB's how to marshall themselves and would be certain to bring them along. Doubt Sean Dyche would release such a valuable cover player, even though he hasn't appeared in the Premier League this season and only a handful of times last. But someone like him is desperately needed. The problem, as others have said is that it could be all but over by January.
We can only dream. A don’t mind signing young ones it’s the type of young ones we signed. We could of gone for championship experience like Kenlock from Ipswich or maybe grant hall from qpr. Not on big wages surely affordable but we get players who have barely featured a first team football match let alone the championship
waste of a player, 24 games in Premiership in last 4 years at 29 he needs to move(sure wages will help though)
We need someone of the same calibre in central midfield aswel, because at the minute that part of the team is just as poor
We'll fall on some luck somewhere and grab wins here and there, but that's what we are relying on already.
I would say it's going to be rather difficult. The results havn't changed since Stendel went and its obvious there was no dressing room unrest or anything like that, it's not like the players downed tools and then created a new manager bounce, they just aren't good enough. If we had good defenders we could try and play a stodgy defensive grinding game, but we have literally no defenders who can actually defend at the moment and we havn't played like that for some time so I don't think that would end well. The last time we were in this mess we managed to land the most prolific striker (Mcburnie) goals per minute in the league second half of season and still it wasn't anywhere near enough keeping us up tbh. It's not even like we could buy our way out either as quality players will not want to come to us now the mess we are in, maybe in the summer they might have come but now will be even harder to attract good players.
