Labour operating a 3 line whip FOR a GE in December on todays vote. So we will absolutely be having a GE. The turkeys have decided they will vote.
Just had a look at constituency majority in 2017 and there are 51 with a majority of less than 1,000. 19 Lab 17 Tory 9 SNP 2 Plaid Cymru 2 Sinn Fein 2 Lib Dem
What was the significance of the lib dems and snp supporting one a few days earlier than the PM originally suggested. I missed that.
It was reported that all member EU states have confirmed that no deal is off the table. Hope this is true.
I hope John Healey gets his arse kicked anorl, mainly for claiming £500 in expenses on just newspapers.
Until A50 is revoked or a deal is agreed and ratified, no deal cant be off the table. If the Uk don't ask for an extension in future, the EU cant gift one to us. Its our unilateral sovereign right to exit without a deal... however ridiculously stupid that is.
Partly the WAB, but the LibDems also mentioned the impact of the student vote on BBC this morning. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-50221335
I'm not sure that's as big as an effect as is first thought. Though possibility of a GE is now looking less likely as Johnson has said he'll pull the bill if its amended for 16-17 yo voters and for settled status Europeans to be included (how they aren't already is staggering!)
My MP is Paula Sherriff who holds a majority of over three thousand...... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/politics/constituencies/E14000666 This time around I think she will be very lucky to stay in power. This week she's had her second commons rant in the past few weeks which has done her no favours. She's also very pro Brexit so there will be a backlash from her going against what her constutuency wanted.
But if she is pro brexit and thats not what the constituency wants who do they vote for - according to your link its a 2 horse race Labour or Tory lovely person so if you dont want brexit you are screwed
Her ward covers a chunk of Huddersfield which voted to leave........ http://democraticdashboard.com/constituency/huddersfield The geography of wards has changed a few times here over the years.
Would be yet another crying shame. One of the few competent MPs left in the commons. I cant even imagine how much worse it will get as experience leaves the corridors of power. Imagine... experience being of value... whoddathunkit
I am in her constituency also. She is a remainer in a seat that voted leave. Ive met her a couple of times, dont agree with her but she is a decent person. think she'll be out though
