When we played a poor one we lost and lost badly. I think what we have seen over the last few games is what we will continue to see young lads trying hard but at the end of the day a fair distance from the required standard.
The required standard is to win football games. Particularly home games. You may think that 9 points from 15 games with no wins in 14 games meets the required standard I don’t.
Ok, so maths isn't your forte then. It was one point. 3 pts in 4 matches is deffo better than 1 in 4 so how is it worse?
The Stoke game is massive. Against 3 top 6 sides we’ve played well and should have won 2 of them. Arguably all 3 had the Bristol keeper been average. The problem is the performance against a poor team where we dropped to below their level. We need to win some games against bottom teams. Stoke next week is a must win. Shame they just sacked Jones as they may be on the bounce but it really is a massive game for us. Win it and we might win a few more. Lose it and it’s hard to see where a win can come from
you may think that not winning in 8 games is somehow better than not winning in 4. I’m not sure thinking is for you to be honest. I wouldn’t try it in future.
I don't really see much improvement. Tonight was very similar to the Derby performance, a deserved point with chances to take all three. However, still no win due to comical defending and a complete inability to cope at set pieces. We're good enough to get draws and maybe a few wins at home, but nowhere near good enough to stay up. I hope they prove me wrong, but I can't gain any extra optimism after tonight...
Yeah, it's disgraceful how they invest their money to keep this club going. Your predictions are nothing more than that - and I sincerely don't believe that you sincerely hope that's not the case. Doom and gloom and pessimism - typical Barnsley.....
The board have shown zero ambition this season. We had the promise of DS and the whole club moving to exciting attacking high press football. People were saying we could he the surprise package etc etc. It's the board who've thrown that away no one else.
We are on our longest winless run since 1959. Not sure how anyone can spin that as a trend towards turning a corner. We are failing to win when we play well and losing heavily and frequently when we are at less than a 100% I see lots of talent in the players we have signed and undoubtedly some will come good. It’s pointless attacking the board at games and could have a detrimental impact on players but let’s not kid ourselves we are up to our necks in *****.
Disagree 100% with this post. What an over-reaction. We played some decent football, and I think so far Murray's done a decent job. Some weak defending yes, but overall we deserved a point. Let's see what next week brings v Stoke City.
