A great point but let's not pretend otherwise.

We give away two goals a game. We've got full backs who can't defend. We've got wingers with no pace. We're playing right wingers as left full backs. We only score worldies, set pieces or flukes. We have nothing really to offer in midfield. We have one striker reduced to pot shots and 30 yard attempts. We're a very bad football team.

This is not those out there's fault. It's not Murray's fault. But fundamentally the lads we have aren't good enough & despite (most) working hard. If Bristol hadn't stopped playing after 70 minutes they'd have got 4.

Recruitment ultimately decides your fate, not head coaches, so I think we can right this season off tbh. Can't fault the effort but simply not good enough.

Mixed bunch of view from the opposition fans. They expected to win and see it as points dropped.

We’ve taken 2 points from West Brom and Bristol City, NASA budget teams. Both games we could have won on another day, we are not awful.

We've won 1 game in 3 months. We've had two good results where we've conceded awful goals & our best player has scored a fluke & two worldies out of those 4 goals.

Dress it up however we want, slice the data in any way at all, but we are bloody rubbish at football.

Very much the case with the fans I spoke to after the match. It was a bad game for them.

I think it is a little unfair to suggest our equaliser was a fluke mate...didn’t you think it was excellent, composed build up play

Probably not good enough for the level we are at and too many changes in the summer, but we still need to get behind them.

When was the last time we came from 2-0 down to get a point in the Championship? Fluke goal? Have a word.

We got two ricochets in the 94th minute which landed to our best player 2 yards outside of goal. I'll take the fluke like but it's lucky.

Sky commentators were quite complementary and their keeper pulled off 2 great saves 1st half. We weren't great but deserved a point.

Tonight, West Brom and Swansea showed we've the potential to survive. However, the board have to give us a fighting chance by modifying their stupid recruitment policy and sign some EXPERIENCE in defence.

And we could've been 2-0 up at half time but for two great saves from their keeper.

Lee Johnson conveniently forgot that when he said they threw the win away in the last 45 seconds.....
Like the other 90 odd minute's doesn't contribute to the result.

Unfortunately I agree. They may well be good enough in time but right now they’re a mile off.

Woodrow’s probably already used up his worldies for the season as it seems unimaginable that anyone can keep scoring them every few games.

If I was a Bristol fan tonight I’d be furious with the tactics, why they went ultra defensive I’ll never know. Only got to look at the Leeds & Brentford games to see that if we attack teams we leave ourselves open at the back but they didn’t even try to take advantage of it.

If anyone can’t see the truth in the words of the OP then they are deliberately not looking. We don’t lack effort but at our maximum we still can’t defend and aren’t creating a great deal. Still we have plenty of potential.

I keep seeing people saying "They're having to learn on the job." But to me, they aren't learning. They have no-one to learn from. It's different if you can draft in a Kevin Long-type player who will show the defence how to organise themselves, but we haven't got one. Who are our defensive coaches? The same mistakes are being repeated and I'm not seeing where we have the capability to get beyond that.

OTT OP title IMO. Seems we can score goals and have players with a good engine and not lacking in skill. The key, and it has been done to death, is to reinforce the defence via a couple of seasoned pros oh! And lose the zonal marking. Without those issues we would possibly even be mid table.

I don’t think we are as bad as the OP makes out add a couple more experienced players and we would be ok. We have scored for 7 games in a row and create plenty of chances in fact we should score more than we do. Not replacing Moore was a huge error, but we also need an experienced centre half If we had just a couple of older players in those positions I think we would be fine. But the club seems determined not to do that so we are likely to struggle I fear no matter who the head coach is

    Thats the spirit.
Totally disagree with the majority of your summary!
Only score worldies, set pieces or flukes?? One of the ludicrous sentences i've ever read on here and believe me there have been a few!
Stopped playing after 70 mins,, nowt to do with what we were doing then. We deserved the point and were probably the better team on the night.
    UP THE REDS!
