Some aspects of our player are actually very similar to last season. We were incredibly wasteful in front of goal all last season, pot shots from all over the place, poor decision making in the final 3rd. It was just last season because of the level we were at we got lots of chances and took some.
At the back we seemed to make at least 2 massive mistakes per game, but again in league one a lot of the time we weren't punished.
Factor in these defenders are even less experienced than Lindsay and Pinnock it's hardly surprising.
It's all very frustrating as I think focusing on young players is a great strategy. If we had just brought in a couple who had played at this level before to bolster what we already had I think we would look a different side.
Also going in with just one striker is a disaster waiting happen.

The fact you say the 2nd goal was a fluke just about sums it up (laughable). Instead of just launching it in the box in the dying minutes we put a good passage of play together which results in a much deserved goal.

It was a great last few mins but it still required a degree of chance for it to fall at Woodrow's feet. You are right in that we didn't resort to hoof ball. To say it was also at the death shows we were fortunate to salvage a point but we deserved it in my opinion.

"and aren’t creating a great deal."!!!

I have only seen the extended highlights. We hit the post twice (and the second was tipped onto the post by the goalkeeper), Mowatt had another shot fizz past the post and at least two other shots went close and ( Wilks I think it was) made a mess of a free header from a corner in their box. We could easily have had 3 goals in the first half and looked far from "awful". Even the Sky commentators seemed to think we were the better team and deserved a draw at the very least. As I said, the highlights package completely refutes the argument of not creating much.
I understand some of the negativity as the current position in the table and the poor defending are a worry but to say we are not creating chances is absolute tosh!

We are dogger, but Bristol City last night were worse.

Its always like this when you can't buy a win. We will always give too many chances away, zonal marking wtf? Especially when we have a defensive unit that can't win a header or do the basics.

We aren't a million miles away from being capable of stopping up, sadly I don't trust the owners to get the right players in January. I thought last night we were competitive, like I did at Forest, West Brom etc, but we can't continue to switch off like we do on a regular basis.

I agree. It's not like we need many players of that type. It's not a giant investment for the club.
A Kevin Long type player at the back, an experienced midfielder and a Paul Wilkinson up front. Suddenly these promising young players we have would learn and be guided during the game and play better as well. I'm not expecting us to challenge at the top half of the table. Anything above the bottom 3 would do.
