My son was fortunate to be selected to be an assistant to the officials last night and lead the teams out. It was an amazing insight behind the scenes. He had the opportunity to meet the players, match officials (6 of them), the safety officer and sky officials etc. What struck me more was the effort and dedication of the people behind the scenes that do alot to make sure things run smoothly (often for nothing). I will say this, there is a fantastic atmosphere between the young players in that dressing room. Lee Johnson was a class act too (i know that wont be popular with some too).
I like Lee Johnson. I did feel let down when he left as I'd spent the previous six months on here defending him against extremely hostile prose. But I've got over that. Good to read the club still has a good heart. It's the head I have a problem with. I'm hoping for decapitation.
There are a lot of people doing a very good job at BFC. They are approachable and helpful. Over the years some of my family have been mascots and it is a very well organised and run project - I think it is run by volunteers.
I’ve spent a bit of time in Lee Johnson’s company I’ve got to say he was a cracking bloke, he was very open and honest about what he wanted, got to agree regarding the staff in in general, I’ve always found them really helpful when called upon...with the exception of Whitey but I’ve just put that down to the fact he struggles with his sexuality
Got a glimpse of him on Sky wandering round the pitch at the end with his phone filming. Is it true he was a stunt double for James McAvoy when doing his X-Men Professor Xavier roles?
Yep, the ref was amazing with him before the game, the linesman on our side in East Stand was not as amazing throughout the game.
I never got that either, handed Hecky a promotion winning team on a plate and went on to his ex club and better prospects. I didnt mind him at all.
Just like Paul Hart and Andy Ritchie. Paul Hart was all possession based tippy tappy and so was Lee Johnson. 8 match losing run when remit was promotion. Granted promotion was achieved eventually but it should have been automatic.
