Win it and they will probably give it Murray until the end of the season. Lose it and that's 3 points from a possible 15 which isnt good enough to get us out of this mess. Draw it does nothing apart from give Murray another game.
No idea. You have to assume we are hoping to give it Murray or we would have a new man in by now but the longer we go without a win the harder it is to do that. I think you are possibly right but for me the Stoke game is a massive must win game. Lose or Draw and I think that’s Murray has to go.
It’d be 3 out of 15 if we lose to be fair. Honestly think Murray is in the job til end of the season. Can’t see anyone else even being considered at this stage. I don’t think anyone else would make much difference anyway. The players are giving their all but are collectively just not good enough.
Are you offering it me? My experience- Must versatile footballer ever for Wombwell high school circa 1983-1988 Goalkeeper centre half striker Ditto Hoyland common falcons Sunday morning stalwart for Ash Inn and played many a 90 minutes under the influence. Later years I have smashed it on the football manager game Where do i apply?
Give it to Nathan Jones before the Stoke game, then watch him endear himself to the reds fans forever by lobbing his c0ck out in front of the Stoke fans after we've beat them 7 0
Obviously they're struggling to appoint due to a lack of quality applicants, which is hardly surprising. Murray would probably do as good a job as anyone else in the current circumstances. Not convinced he wants it though...
Thing is.. ... Surely as an applicant you'd go for the interview and it'd prob go something like this..... BFC thanks for attending APPLICANT no worries, before we start I'd like to know why the position is vacant after your last manager got you promoted at the first attempt, you sold his record breaking centre half partners and top scorer and brought in a dozen unknowns? BFC yes that's right, we'd only won once all season so we had to part company APPLICANT well I've just been looking at the form guide and since he 'left' you've taken 3 points from 12....... BFC yes that's also correct, good research APPLICANT so if I'm successful will I be given funds to shore the squad up with some Premier loanees or experience to help the young team out, your average age last night against Bristol was 22. BFC the spreadsheet says NO! DOOR SLAMS AND CAR ZOOMS OUTTA CAR PARK
A manager would frankly have to be absolutely desperate to work for Paul CONway, Chien Lee and James Cryne.
Except I think they'd make some non committal noises towards the idea of strengthening and hook a new manager right in!
I honestly don't see how they can strengthen the squad in January without looking even worse than they do now. We need experience, it's the only solution to our problem but allowing a manager to bring in experience is admitting Stendel was right. Not doing so signs, seals and delivers the relegation. And it's all their own fault. I see no way back from this except for them to pack their bags and piss off.
Well maybe there would be suspensions and injuries and they get experienced players in under the guise of it's necessary now rather than hoping DS had a magic wand in his back pack. Who knows?
They should give it to Murray right now. We are not going to get anyone better - and he does appear to have the confidence of the players and has been working with them. A lot may depend on the Stoke game however. Looking at Bristol's two goals last night - I would have to point the finger at Cavaré (see how I got the accent é) He is static in the first goal and unaware of the danger behind him and for the second he was at the corner post but then disappeared as the header came over the top....
