Tell him to take a visit to Bramall Lane and see how the kiosks, serving staff, tannoys and matchday experience is there. I went last Monday when they played Arsenal. Fantastic set-up and it wasn’t down to funding fully, it was the ideas, quality and execution of everything. I.e done properly. Contactless or cash, full pick and mix shops for kids, bars serving quickly. Warm concourses, toilets done out nice with lower placed urinals to one side for the kids to use. Like I say, some of the bits don’t cost money, just managed better. And the concourse of the North Stand I was in was Smaller than the East Stand but still better run. I love Oakwell, but Jesus, we’ve some catching up to do to even get to a decent standard now.
"How can you regret something but refuse to put it right despite pressure from all supporters, customers, former players, local radio, local papers and pretty much everyone on the planet? Utter ******** spouted to appease those present that's all it is
I've a terrible feeling that after tonight I'm going to be even more angry with these people than I already am.
Because of the legal proceedings they mention at a guess. At some point in the future, a better statement might be released I guess.
Everyone was asking for an explanation. Why has it taken till now for them to mumble to a select few something about legal proceedings? That's my point. He can't regret keeping his mouth shut if he continued to keep his mouth shut.
So they realise they made a pigs ear of announcing Daniel had been let go but don't want to put it right. Legal proceedings doesn't stop them being respectful of a good man. Got a feeling we will be questioning the board a lot more when we get to know more about this meeting.
If they've been legally advised that they can't mention legal proceedings then they're not fit to run the club if they've then mentioned them tonight. If they haven't been advised not to mention that then there is really no excuse Either way claiming to regret treating the fans with disdain in a statement 30 days ago whilst spending 30 days continuing to do so is contradictory in the extreme. It's hollow claptrap aimed at appeasing the few in attendance. Actions speak a lot louder than a few contradictory words to a select few a month later
Personally I’ve moved on. We were **** and going nowhere - probably still the case now. Stendel hadn’t signed a new contract, so for all intent, he may have left himself come Xmas or summer anyway. At least this way he’s come out of it well.
It’s been established that the owners are not as affluent as initially made out to be. Questioning thier alleged cash worth wouldn’t be in my top ten questions if the chance ever arose. I’d be starting with a simple one though. Why does Chien Lees social media reference being a co founder of the 7 days chain yet the owners of the same say he was only a minor investor at the groups inception... Then I’ll keep things Nice and simple...
Either we paid way over the odds for untried kids or somebody is being economical with the truth. If anyone on that board thought that it was good football sense to sell a star striker and replace him with about 10 young untested inexperienced wingers then God help us all.
