Brilliant manager. Never fails to achieve at this level. Sadly, nothing like the 'yes man' that we're currently trying to recruit, and he wouldn't accept a recruitment methodology where he has little input on who is recruited, so there's absolutely zero chance of him ever being appointed, even without the obvious cost issues.
I wouldn't say no in this current predicament. He's certainly a marmite manager and a lot don't like him but he's better than what's been banded about. Get him and we might have decent chance.
Would be an excellent appointment but there is now way Warnock would even entertain the idea of only signing players under 25 when all of his squads have been based on experience and players in their peak.
Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman said: "On behalf of Cardiff City Football Club, I thank Neil for his invaluable contribution to the future of this great club. "He not only gained promotion in his first season but played a pivotal role in uniting the fans and the club. I am personally upset by his departure and wish him the very best for the future."
Just looked at the Cardiff City statement about Neil Warnock leaving the club. It shows up the Barnsley F C statement on the depareturn of Daniel Stendel for what it was , 21 words of uncaring ,cold words that was unworthy of acknowledging the job DS had done in lifting the spirits of the players and fans whilst gaining promotion back to the championship. As for Neil Warnock , never been a fan of his but has proved over and over again that he is a good manager (please note I did not use the words head coach). If we ever do get round to appointing a head coach I think it will not be a Warnock, Ian Holloway or Tony Pulis kind of manager who wants imput into the players the club sign.
Yea...surely the way forward is to say nothing or to the fans. All that thanks...they need to read up!!
I think Colin lives in Cornwall now and loves his tractor. He's made a great career for himself by playing simple territorial football. Nothing wrong with that because it wins matches and that's the be all. Modern managers try to re-invent the wheel and it just blows players minds. Head it, kick it, just win .
The club is so far behind in terms of ambition only a rookie manager would take the job . Stendal over achieved last season and was treated badly.
