Don't like the way his team's play football but his track record is second to none, kept Rotherham up when they were struggling. It'd throw the current tactical ethos out of window but in the short term he'd probably keep us up. I'd be on phone to him immediately, but with the way the clubs been run currently they're not going to want someone coming in who's been there done that, he'll see through the BS before he's even picked up the phone.
Warnock has more football knowledge in his little finger than our entire board members combined. He won't be coming here.
He'd be perfect. Board won't go for him, and he wouldn't come anyway unfortunately. Dane is too thick
Why not ? The team lacks experience and know how . This is the sort of appointment instead of Morais .
I’ll tell yer what, in the highly unlikely outcome that he came here and the even more unlikely outcome he’d work to the plan’ if he did, we would see an immediate and dramatic cut in the individual errors that are costing us so dearly at the moment. We would also see a lot more organisation throughout the team. Never liked him though
This is the acid test of this Board's true intentions towards the club. If they really were serious about trying to keep us up theyd have been in touch with Colin already - its a no-brainer.
Comparing Warnock with last seasons premier league winner and you’ll see not much difference..get him in
Exactly my thoughts. I've spent my life disliking Neil bloody Warnock. Right now I can't think of a manager who we could rely on more. There isn't one. He won't come here, but what a damming indictment that I wish he would.
Anytime you want it then it's there All you gotta do is stop it On the corner and ask Say hey you don't live today Stop the world Stop the world I'm getting off
The idea that Colin will give up being a manager to have players for him decided without much input is funny. All he's achieved in his career to become a head coach and have guys who have never played or managed in the game giving him players. Bloody heck that's funnier than that new Lenny Henry four parter on Morecambe and Wise that's on Gold at the moment.
I think Neil Warnock wold d a good job and his track record proves I. I am not his greatest fan but the chance of him coming to Oakwell with the present regime is zero.
I take it that you're all aware he used to play for us decades ago. Not being facetious but maybe younger folk don't know this. With the great Brian Joicey and big Mick. 1977/78 ish.
Given that the average age of BBS members is 102, I reckon most of us have seen him playing in a red shirt. But I take your point, and the amount of anti-Warnock sentiment always surprises me, especially when expressed by Reds fans. Personally I thought he did a reasonable job for us as a player. As a manager he's been pretty consistent. Anyone appointing him certainly gets their money's worth.
One of the few who would actually have a chance of keeping us up. Always hated him but right now I would take him. He wouldn't come though and oddly even though he could keep us up I'm not sure our board would want him. His style would possibly make our players less attractive as assets. A good league one player has more value than a championship clogger.
