You raise an interesting point with the high line - Neil Redfearn was quoted on TalkSport recently at one of our matches saying it was like self-harm. Then on Sky when they featured us, I think it was Keith Andrews who deemed it suicidal. I paid real attention to it last weekend. It was awful watching our central defenders trying to back-pedal so often, with no idea what's to the sides of them, and Cavare taking a stroll back and Brown blowing out of his backside because he's running here, there and nowhere all game.

That Stoke game really nailed it for me. If we stay up with this squad playing this way and January is another window like the last few, I nominate it as greatest footballing achievement ever.

I very much doubt we can stay up with our current squad.

Daniel Stendel was signed for his high press style & that worked brilliantly in L1. If we still had Pinnock I think we might have done better with it this season, but the reality is we don't, but we do have a pacy attacking threat, but defenders that are woefully exposed. The only way of keeping supporters on board & making some effort of keeping us up is to change our playing style. I'm not sure the owners will get this. It seems like the "plan" is like the koran, the bible, the torah, a ridiculous set of rules that have no real relevance for the situation we are in. Nailed on relegation fodder that every opposing manager is looking forward to meeting.
