Wow! 1 million compo. I'd assume we wouldn't pay that.

Whoever has written that article doesn't have a clue about our owners. No way would they pay that sort of money out in compensation for a currently employed coach. Murray has the gig until the end of the season (unless he tells the owners otherwise).

I have no idea how well this has translated but this is what I got.

Now it could be fast. Already since last week, a rumor in the Austrian Bundesliga haunted that WAC coach Gerhard Struber is hotly sought after by the English second division side FC Barnsley. Now a transfer seems to be nearing completion, as the Kleine Zeitung reports.

The "immoral offer" addressed by WAC President Dietmar Riegler, which calls for a change, has now been fulfilled. The Kleine Zeitung writes after appeal to consultants circles of an offer in the amount of one million euros.

Although the Wolfsberg are still fighting for their coach, confirmation seems to be only a matter of time. Gerhard Struber is already looking for his new coaching team, because his previous one will probably stay in Carinthia. Former colleagues from the Red Bull Group are currently the most likely.

The WAC already has its own successor in mind and like Struber it should be a creative solution. The negotiations are in full swing in all areas. Nevertheless, a final decision is expected in the foreseeable future, as the Kleine Zeitung writes.

The whiz-starter of the WAC will soon be the new coach of the legionnaires Patrick Schmidt and Samuel Sahin-Radlinger and should save them from the threat of relegation from the English Championship.

All Murray has to do is slip in the word "experience" into his conversation. Sorted.

This is the sort of appointment I feared, predicted and I made clear on this bulletin board that it would be something I didn't want. Not right now. A coach from overseas joining part way through a season, knowing very little about the league, next to nothing about the squad seems proper risky. Then there's the potential effect on the players and staff already here - will they be open to it? It seemed another massive gamble to me and typical of the club's approach under the current ownership.

However, having done a fair bit of research into this particular fellow, I can't help but be excited about his potential arrival. There was a super article I read recently that I can't for the life of me find again, but it really whet the appetite.

It's still a properly nutty decision.

And judging by the social media experts and pundits, he's definitely on his way.

If indeed he is the new man, I hope the fanbase will get behind him. It's not his fault, whatever has gone off this season.

Instead of a million compo I'd rather it was used to persuade Warnock to come until the end of the season, as it would be worth the cash if he kept us up like Rotherham did.

There's time before the Euros Given the length of time though you do wonder how far down the pecking order he comes. I think the million compo plus paying out DS contract is a lot of money to spend and makes it even less likely we can afford experience players come January.

Interesting that Wolfsburg are sponsored by Volkswagen and Hayseldens are one of our sponsors!

I don’t know why we would be offering Wolfsburg compensation sure they would be grateful for a million, but shouldn’t the money go to wolfsberger where struber is currently? Wolfsburg is a German team, wolfsberger is Austrian.
