So is it looking like it’s gunna be him mate? Or is this going to be another case of “yeah we’ve ended up with this person BUT look at who we went for!” Trying to flatter us with ambitious attempts
Maybe with budgets so tight as many keep reminding us, we might consider believing in our coaches, giving them what they want and investing money in a proper team rather than on paying off sacked coaches and fulfilling clauses for those who will only be here for a year anyway. When they make (I say when... it wouldn't surprise me if they still remained quiet!) the announcement (if its Voldemort or not), they have to be very careful with tone. If they go overboard and use it as a petty points scoring exercise against a much liked ex coach, they will merely cement the increasing loathing of them from some quarters.
Creative accounting. We're selling the West Stand bogs back to ourselves. The bloke who revalued Hillsborough reckons they're worth at least £10m.
Trouble is, he can’t kick the ball for whoever he picks to play, which seems to be why we are already partially adrift at the foot of the table and whatever was left in the kitty has probably been spunked on getting him to oakwell. Hope he’s a magician cos he’ll need to be!
Where's the €1m compo coming from? Haven't we spent 95% of the money we got in the summer? Also, that type of money suggests this guy is on a decent wage, and would only be coming here for more money. Makes little sense
I agree. I cant imagine he's on a huge salary and I cant imagine our owners spending money on whats effectively a dead cost that will have to be undone in 6 months time when they blame him for relegating us. Even if it were that much, I doubt they'd tell us, just because of how ridiculous a choice it is. the other thing that was disappointing in that article was about finding a coaching team. That might suggest the end of Tonge and Stern, two great guys who I'd be very sad to see leave.
They don't seem to want to spend any of their own money, so it could be that we sell in January to pay for him. Slippery slope they're on. Eventually they will either have to put some of their own money in because they're quickly running out of saleable assets.
It just doesn't seem to be joined up thinking at all. Ideology blind to sense and accurate introspection. If they can fall out with a coach so spectacularly in just weeks (one they said repeatedly that he'd be here as long as he wanted to be here), what hope has anyone got of having honest discussion with them to benefit what goes on on the pitch?
The guy who broke the news of Stendel's departure last week posted a serious allegation regards why he was sacked. I won't be the one to post it on here as there are some very touchy individuals who run to admin. I'm amazed that nobody else has posted it on here by now though...
