Here here. It costs nothing to thank someone for their efforts. If what is being said regarding Cauley and Daniel is true following the Preston game, it's difficult to understand why the Club couldn't have said his employment had been terminated on disciplinary grounds and was the subject of legal proceedings, but they wished to place on record their thanks for his efforts in getting the team into the Championship and wishing him all the best for his future.
If its not a rumour then why cant what happened be talked about? All last season people were saying Cavare was at it with the fisticuffs too.
If that's genuinely what you've been told then I'd ask serious questions to your friends in the know. Honestly not trying to be a *****, but seriously I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
Why would they? If you want to be labelled as someone who airs what goes on in the dressing room. Not going to be good for your career is it? It must be a small world in football best to keep your head down and crack on would be how I’d look at it, whatever the circumstances.
A ridiculous choice.... if they've spent a million euros in compensation... please don't try and twist and misrepresent, thank you.
Just to add context to that compensation fee. We could’ve alternatively spent that money on paying a manager 12 grand a week up till Summer 2021 to keep up in the championship and stabilise us.
Exactly the point I was making to highlight how ridiculous it is if that fee were in anyway true. Surely it can't be though? A 42 year old untried coach who has been there just months, at a pretty unknown Austrian team. Maybe they'll just give him a 4 month contract to save compensation when they sack him for failing to be a miracle worker.
Correct but you can pay a figure for a manager who had knowledge and experience in the league we are in AND the current situation we are in.
It would be £10k a week but we get your point. when you add on his wages I’ve no doubt we’re spunking £15k a week on a Manager with no history or experience the English Football. I’m not trying to be all negative but it seems a really odd appointment. He might be brilliant but it’s a particularly risky one. We’ve not had a great recent history with people joining us from that league.
Just hope the fans get behind and support the manager from get go. Might sound an obvious thing to say, but already some are ridiculing it from a variety of reasons.
Thing is when they appointed Daniel he had the summer to work with them, get to know Barnsley a bit, get to know the staff. Like Morais, this coach is going to have to hit the ground running with the team at rock bottom . I don't envy him his job.
Exactly. Stendel was given a full pre season to work with the lads, get to know them, and plan for the season. Struber is akin to a Morais appointment. Chucking someone in at the deep end with no experience and no time. Shambolic appointment.
