What a mess I have just watched on the BBC from Sheffield.

Mr Corbyn thinks it is right to campaign for another referendum, to say he intends to renegotiate the deals with the EU, to organise another referendum and then to sit on the fence. Clueless.

Ms Sturgeon avoided the question about an England/Scotland border when an Independent Scotland is part of the EU but England is not. Hopeless

Ms Swinson was a car crash from start to finish, basically because she did not have any answer to the party's position on the rejection of article 50. Hapless

Mr Johnson tried to make the whole thing about Brexit, and when the meeting refused to let him, he was left floundering. Liar

Conclusion - you cannot trust any of the lying ********.

 

I’d disagree. Corbyn pulled a master stroke tonight. Totally threw Johnson’s planned speeches. sturgeon and Corbyn were hands down better than Swinson or Johnson

What’s not to like about having a proper choice anyway ,leavers get to confirm they wish to leave, he remains impartial, it’s common sense to me

 

I think Sturgeon is an excellent orator

I don’t see people’s issue with Corbyns stance on brexit, it seems fairly pragmatic to me. i don’t think it will win votes though, it’s not easy enough to grasp.

Not sure if his economic plans are realistic mind..

The problem with a 2nd referendum is the choices given. Do you give a choice of leave with this deal or leave with no deal( which lets be honest, Labour are not going to give that as an option) or do you go with leave with this deal or remain in the EU. Assuming it is the latter option then the result will be to remain. The referendum had 16million people vote to remain, so that's 16 million who will potentially vote to remain again. On top of that you have a certain amount of people who originally voted to leave but will not vote in favour of a deal that has been negotiated by Labour, so they will also vote to remain and blame it on Labour. The same thing would happen if the Tories put it to a 2nd referendum, people in strong, Labour controlled, leave areas would vote against a Tory deal because it was negotiated by the Tories regardless if the deal was good or not.

Corbyn was impressive but I think he's adopting a high risk strategy with Brexit.
He is taking a massive risk.

If the electorate really believe he can negotiate a new and acceptable deal - a deal that would have to be approved by all 27 member states and if the electorate have the stomach for another long drawn out and bitter referendum campaign then he's o.k.
Or are many going to turn up at the ballot box and vote for the party who they think will get Brexit 'sorted' because they've had enough?

Anyway, i agree i reckon its a more pragmatic approach than the last "IN OR OUT, PLEBS??" referendum. The smart move would be to include leave - no deal, too, fair enough. But including leave with a negotiable deal is more Corbyn's style. Talking is good, its a referendum, not an ultimatum.

Well it certainly takes more thinking through than 'get Brexit Done' but I don't like being lied to by people who simply want me to believe life's simple but every complication is someone else's fault.

 

I agree but I would like to add this cavitate it stood out like a sore thumb from the start that Fiona Bruce was against Corbyn and Sturgeon, she definitely favoured the Buffoon she stood back on relevant questions like when the youth asked about the papers he withheld regarding Rusian interference she purposely never let him answer the question possibly she knew he could not but just let him bluster on about Brexit. The interviews showed Swinson had a car crash and what she and her party stand for NOWT.

Was it Barnier or Tusk who recently said don't give up to remainers? The EU 26, + France when forced, will approve a Labour deal in an instance as it will be better for them than this Johnson "no-deal" lookalike.Then a second referendum will deliver what the majority of the country wants, a rejection of article 50.

 

Corbyn was statesman-like throughout and only he and Sturgeon came across as honest. The other two I wouldn't put in charge of making a brew.

That's two leaders debates and Labour have smashed both out of the park. The polls suggest they're closing the gap too.

Such a shame that Johnson has bottled facing Corbyn on Sunday, on C4. That is the most neutral TV channel in the country politically. Hence his non-show. They should empty chair the buffoon or sit a fact-checker there to answer any questions.

I still expect the horrible bas*ards to win the election because 40 odd years on the planet tells me that the bad guys usually get their wish.

Johnson is an actual racist, yet the MSM want to have the uneducated believe Corbyn is the racist.

On a side note - Swinson looks to have cracking jugs.

 

That said they will have to live with looking in the mirror and realising they voted Tory for the next five years. Because the last 9 have been amazing

 

If the majority of the country wanted Brexit it would have been done by now.

This is almost beyond belief , why can’t folk see that any half decent Labour leader and party would have kicked this Tory ***** into touch by now.
Instead folk are constantly having to make excuses for Corbyn and his acolytes .

 

he’s in opposition, by nature he and the Labour Party must take a risk. To not do so and allow the tories to maintain the status quo would surely be the biggest mistake?

Johnson is appealing to the plebs again. “Get brexit done” says nothing about the turmoil still to come, yet there are many idiots who think it’s all over on 31st January, many of the same idiots who can’t explain why they actually want brexit.

Err no, most folk up here are begging for a decent opposition but wouldnt vote for this lot if you paid em
