How can we afford to sign anyone in January?

    There wasn't a player from the under 23s in the squad today. Plus Walton, Jordan Williams, Pinnillos, Green, Styles and Wilks didn't make the squad. Nor did Odour or Simoes who have both made the first team squad this season.

    That's 27 pros. Other than Woodrow and Mowatt, no one will want to buy these players and if we sell those two to get replacements we'll weaken the squad not strengthen it.

    We can't take 27 pros into League 2, most on 3 or 4 year contracts, without breaking the financial rules by some distance. We certainly can't add to the squad size.

    We're in a proper mess. Not just on the pitch, we're in deep ****.

    This is one of the few occasions when you can legitimately say that had I been playing centre half we wouldn't be doing any worse. We're bottom of the league now and we would be if I was playing for us.

    By selling Woodrow & Mowatt who are basically our own saleable assets, claiming both forced moves and accepting a joint offer of £1.5m.
