Might it be worth trying him on the right hand side of the midfield diamond? Remove some of his defensive duties and play to his strengths going forward? Just a thought...

This wont go down well with some on here but toby carvery is a real threat going forward. He should be in the team. Strong going forward and his crossing has improved .

And long throw ins. Yes he makes mistakes but defenders dont like him powering at them.

Exactly Pal.i was sat next to some derby supporters when we played them and they kept commenting how good he was. One of our best players for me

Offers more than sibbick at right back thats for sure, for all his faults he's still our best full back.

I've not got a problem with sibbick I just don't think hes a full/wing back , he looks better in front of defence

Decent defender too. A few mad moments, but much more good than bad.

But he doesn't get back if we lose possession. You don't necessarily notice that if you follow the game, but if you just watch him...
This isn't me claiming that I'm more analytical than most, blah blah blah. I usually watch the ball, that's why I go to a game, to watch the game, not an individual player. But a few weeks ago someone near me was going mental with him. So I watched him when our attacks broke down. He just trotted back. His team mates were pointing and shouting at him to get back but he just wouldn't. It was awful. Our forwards having to run back into the right back position to try to cover for him. Every time he was the last man back into our half. I don't know how you can select someone who does that, in any position.

Said the same ti a friend of mine. I don’t think he’s good enough defensively for the Championship. However, he is so hard to get off the ball, and scares the sh#* out of defenders when he’s going forward.

I don’t think Brown is a right back, but I don’t think Sibbick is either. Id sooner see Brown there.

Sibbick has no positional sense whatsoever and switches off far too easily. He might forge a career in L2 but definitely not at Championship level.

This thread sums us up, and explains why Stendel and Murray chopped and changed so much.

Replace one player and another will have a mare and we'll be looking to bring in someone else for the next game.

Right back is definitely a problem position. Cavare has defended poorly, but looks great going forward. Sibbick is a bit more solid but doesn't give much threat going forward. Jordan Williams hasn't done enough to deserve a place.

Got to be a priority in January.

Was just going to post similar having read some of this thread. This is what happens when you are struggling. We did it in the last relegation season.
Chopping and changing players and positions trying desperately to find a winning formula. Until ultimately you realise there isn't one. Caravre is the best attacking full back we have by a long way. But he is very poor defensively, so every so often we will put him in and he will look good but possibly make a error that costs us a goal. He's in good company in that regard!
So then we change tack and try someone else who doesn't offer much going forward and perhaps less prone to errors. Still we don't win and so we switch again. This is happening all over the pitch. To the extent yesterday that we even played Woodrow in midfield.

I prefer Hathersage or Castleton if that's ok.
