Do we really think he is our better keeper?

Whilst not overtly at fault with the goals today I don’t think all round that he is as assured as Collins

Radlinger isn't as good a shot stopper as Collins in my opinion. I like him though, he's a confident lad I'll give him that. The whole sweeper keeper is what everyone seems to want now, I'm just not sure it's exactly what we need when we are bottom of the league.

I don't think there is much between them if I'm honest but I think Collins can consider himself unlucky to have been dropped.

He was in no mans land for the first and made a mess of what looked like a simple save for the winner. He was unlucky not to have their player awarded offside for the second, he was standing in front of him and even made an attempt to flick it in.

I don't think he's anywhere near as good as Collins. He's overconfident and it's caused us troubles in pre season and during the season

I reckon Struber been that busy he’s only watched the stoke game on DVD that’s why he picked Schmidt and dropped Collins

He got away with one yesterday. Kicked ball out to one of their players, similar to Collins for stokes first goal.

I think Collins is the better of the 2.

Strange to drop Collins. Scooby wasn't here to see his mistake v stoke, so that can't be the reason.

Saw that on the ten minutes of highlights Sky showed and thought the same. We just don't learn from past games regardless of which defensive position it is. Four months in to the season and our defensive have showed no improvement and given no indication they are learning from their mistakes or getting better.

No from what I’ve seen Collins seems the better keeper. But people with better footballing experience may differ or maybe prefer someone who speaks the language

Because they're not comfortable at this level.

Of course mistakes will be made, it's human nature, but in general, the lower down the pyramid you go, the more evident they are.

Generally speaking, top teams are very comfortable on the ball, and Sunday league players generally can't string half a dozen passes together without losing possession.

We're playing in one of the best leagues in Europe, with players that just can't hold it together.

Did one of them come here on a one year deal and the other for longer.... or have I dreamed that up?

No I am fairly sure you are right - I am sure Radlinger was signed on a 1 year deal but it doesn't seem to say that on the official site - just that he has joined on a permanent deal - I am sure it was said it was for one year at the time.

Collins has a 4 year deal with an optional additional year extension in the clubs favour

Thanks, that's what I thought too. I remember wondering why we needed to sign two keepers when we had Walton as cover. I'm guessing we will move to Collins/Walton next season, no point paying an unnecessary wage in L1. Surprised though that we didn't just sign Collins and use the Radlinger money elsewhere in the squad.

Although Radlinger is taller, Collins is safer on crosses. He's also a better shotstopper and communicator than Radlinger.

Radlinger lack any idea of positioning. Other than that there’s not much to choose. But it’s a big factor.

I believe Stendel really wanted Radlinger, and that’s why they chased him.

Radlinger is more experienced and more used to playing the pressing game with a sweeper keeper. I also think Radlinger communicates better - I certainly hear him more than Collins.

That said, Collins is also a decent keeper.

For once, we got the recruitment right this summer for the keepers. I’ve no real issue in either playing tbf. It’s one position we don’t really have to worry about thankfully.

I'd play them both, we might get a clean sheet that way.

I imagine Radlinger is here for the year to show Collins/Walton what Stendel wanted from his keepers in the future. That went well for all involved.

Pretty close but I'd say Collins from what I've seen. I think Radlinger is probably a better leader though so good to have that
