    I can't believe a once-proud town fell into believing this posh thatcher-fanatics rubbish.

    They have been conned. Some are waking up and realising it's ********.

    I know many of the reasons are because they are believing all this immigration tripe. You speak to the people individually and they’ll give it all the immigrants ballacks.

    I would like to see all of these people work the hours some immigrants do and for little money.

    British jobs for British people.

    I've met a few through the years and have never had an issue with anyone. Sometimes the language barrier was there but a little effort and football usually solved that.

    They're not the enemy.

    It's funny in a tragic way because the same Barnsley folk lauding Farage will have moaned in the past about the rest of the country not treating them/the town seriously - is it any wonder when so many wear their ignorance /xenophobia as a badge of honour, dragging the rest of us down with them.

    Whats the level of migrant numbers in Barnsley, just out of curiosity?

    Cotswolds aside... it feels like one of the least diverse places in the country.

    Probably why there is so much ignorance and intolerance.

    Yet the people they blame (immigrants) are not to blame for austerity, zero-hour contracts, and 40% council cuts.
