If calling out the Israeli government and its treatment of Palestine makes you a racist and anti semite then I would say I along with Jezza and co and a great deal more in this country are guilty...
Dear Chief Rabbi, your support of Boris Johnson and derision of Jeremy Corbyn wouldn't have anything to do with the Tories supporting the genocidal apartheid Zionist government in Israel and the possibility of a Labour government calling out the Israeli government for their human rights breaches, their war crimes, their international law breaches and their UN resolution breaches?
Of course he isn’t, he’s 70 years old and no one can point to a single example of him being racist in any way during that time. You can find a photo of him being arrested whilst protesting against racism though. Most 70 year olds I know say racist things all the time (whilst I believe genuinely meaning no harm) but there aren’t even any examples of him doing that. I also think people see ‘Labour members’ and think ‘MPs’ not just any random member of the public who’ve paid a fee to sign up as one of the nearly half a million members.
Think it is quite self explanatory. However, ill add to it. Where you do stand on the destruction/disolution of Israel? Do you think this is an antisemitc ideal? Would you say that the above would be denying the Jews the right to self determination? What about wanting to wipe out the Zionists in the Middle East?
The term "North American Indian" is now considered racist and has historic negative connotations. The non-offensive term in the USA is "Native American" and in Canada "First Nation".
I'm not a fan of Corbyn at all. He's a dreadful leader and is at the head of a party whose appeal is narrowing and there are sections organised to find opposition and drum it out from the party. There is no doubt of that. But that's a very different thing to organised anti Semitism. There are clearly members who are anti semitic. But the question that should be being asked is why is the PM not getting more scrutiny and more pressure to apologise for his constant repeated Islamophobic attacks... which were just attempts at comedy... he says? The media distortion is frankly disgusting. By all means ask genuine questions as to why the labour party has failed to act swiftly and decisively in so many cases. But you have to give the same, if not more scrutiny of the Tories and their records of abuse, bullying and the ever increasing hatred and division they are wilfully whipping up to pick up the far right vote.
I think the answer lies in something Stig Abell said in 'Press Preview' on Monday. Voters have probably largely already factored in the known shortcomings and criticisms of the two main party leaders and probably aren't about to change their minds as a result of the mud-slinging from either side. The Daily Blackshirt and the likes of Andrew Neil are probably doing no more than going through the motions at this stage.
I saw sight of some first hand research just this morning (granted it was a fairly small population, so won't be getting into the mainstream), but it outlined as many as 27% were still undecided. I must say, my perception the last week has been its pretty much set and few are for turning. The same audience is being polled on Thursday, so i'll be interested to see if there is any movement.
Genuinely wish this was the case mate but I just can’t see it myself. I think Conservatives get a majority vote December 13th and we might see Brexit party have seats in Barnsley.
I can't see Labour losing Barnsley. 2017 Dan took 63.9% of the vote in Central, UKIP on 8.5%, Tories on 24.1%.. Even Every Tory Vote and UKIP vote going to the Brexit party they would be still way off the mark.. Even if some Labour votes are lost to them. Can't see it whatsoever. My prediction would be Labour in Barnsley Central hold with 59% of the vote... Overall, think the tories will just sneak a small minority.. If anything ridiculously strange were to happen it would only be to the biggest threat in Barnsley at the moment to Labour based on local election results, the Lib Dems.
Do I think he hates Jewish people, no. do I think he hates the Israeli stance on Palestine yes. Its when stereotyping that all Jewish people agree with the Israeli stance on Palestine does it become anti semetic, its like saying all Muslims are terrorists. I don't think he does believe that, but by different accounts he does not condemn anti semitism in the same way as Islam phobia or xenophobia, but then it's down to which propoganda you want to believe.
I'd say that probably sums it up. It's more because he probably has a strong view on the subject, whereas I don't recall any of the other party leaders ever been asked to pin their colours to a particular viewpoint on the same issue. It's easy to criticise for them in that respect. I think the abuse Corbyn gets on that subject is so inflated TBH. Now it has become the new political point scoring game between Labour and the Tories..
The problem is that because he is against the illegal occupation of Palestinian land by Israelis there are people unable to separate that from anti-Semitism and are frankly too stupid to realise that being against one atrocious act doesn't mean you are against the religion. Word gets around and before you know it you have a lynch mob baying for blood who are so entrenched in their hatred that they refuse to listen to reason
Whats your opinion on the destruction/disolution of Israel. Would you consider this to be Anti Semitic? What about the eradication of the Zionist economical political military and cultural exisitance? What about denying the right of self determination for the state of Israel?
