The new head coach needs time and can pick the side he likes. But ... If he genuinely thinks Aapo Halme is a better bet at the base of a midfield diamond than Kenny Dougall, and if he thinks in a three of Woodrow, Brown and Chaplin that it should be Woodrow in midfield, I’m not sure our season is set to pick up too quickly. Thoughts?
With all said players youve mentioned in there best position we certainly havent gathered much momentum have we..... So why not change things u a bit and just see if it stirs the pot a bit....... After all its not like we have been doing too good
We’re playing ok yes, though we’ve rarely played poorly. Just made errors. I might even concede Woodrow playing deeper works as he drops deep anyway. Does anyone really think we’d be playing worse with Dougall in where Halme is playing though?
I like Aapo Halme I think he’s been one of our best signings this summer fair play to him, you never know how much he’s trying to impress on the training pitch either
Is it me, or do we seem more prepared to clear our lines with a bit of a hoof, or put the ball out of play than has been the norm recently
They certain put a shift in that half. Well deserved lead. Just a bit worried that they will bring on their secret weapon in the second half - us!
Halme isn’t playing badly but don’t think he’s got the game to play there - Dougall please! And let’s play our goal scoring centre forward in midfield. Having said all that I have hope.
We are playing very well, but the set up us weird. Still, hopefully defensive midfielder Cauley Woodrow can continue to break up play.
I do too. But he’s not the best player for the position he’s been picked in. Play him at centre half, maybe even play him in midfield when we’ve injuries. Not first choice there though.
