lost 2 won 1. But looking at the stats of all 3 games we have had the lions share of possesion and our attempts on goal have been very good and attempts that have been on target too. I read reports from those that attended that the team seem to be playing better as well , so there is a glimmer of hope.. We are 5 points adrift and the December programme is no cake walk. Hopefully we can remain in touch and look to the January window to bring some new faces in.... it would be good if the board capitulated and allowed in a couple, at least, of experienced heads.... even if on a loan till the end of the season.

I was going to ‘like’ the post but then I saw Trickster and MDG had done so, and i’m Just not prepared to agree with them. For political reasons you understand!!

I’m sure they are great lads over a beer.

I don't think we've played particularly badly in most games this season. We've enjoyed plenty of possession and there has been no lack of effort.

It's just been the silly mistakes in the main, and also players inconsistency, hence why we swap and change so much.

On the basis of today, I would happily start with the same team next week. It's not many times we've been able to say that this season.

These lads aren't bad footballers. They are sometimes up to the standard, and sometimes not. At this level you can't carry players having off days, and today was a day when they all played ok and didn't get punished for the inevitable mistakes.

Unless we sell Woodrow and Mowatt in January, we really don't need too much to help our fight. We don't need a complete new wardrobe, just a couple of vintage outfits, and that's what's most frustrating.

    Vintage or classy, I'd say.

If you had e.g. Ben Foden in midfield it wouldn't matter how old he was.

Plus we need another goal threat player.

I think the defence are OK at defending. They get into trouble when they have the ball at their feet and try to play it out.

    True.

It’s not as if the team is poor - if it wasn’t for the odd mistake each game, we’d be lower mid-table (apart from Luton home and Preston away - but all teams have off days).

We’ve been scoring in most Games - which was promising. Just got to keep them clean sheets. Not to take the shine off today - but Hull’s goal was another soft one to concede.
