Just watching Angela Raynor on Breakfast TV talking about education, Stayt ans Muncheti are paired up ramming the figures at her as a pair, not allowing her to speak and throwing figure after figure to discredit what she has to say, the lass tried to answer the points without doing the Tory mantra of slagging the opposition and just keeping talking no matter what either says, but it's like a pair of wolves with their prey. switch to Mr Javid and now Nagga has dropped out, Javid is doing the "just keep talking no matter what" and Stayt is allowing him to make the interview trivial and having a laugh and a joke...………….wonder why we won't see a labour victiory eh

I hate interviewers interrupting them. Let them finish the point, if it's not been answered then ask the question again calmly.

You are so right in your assessment, although to be fair I think they only do one to one interviews when the interviewee is not in the studio.

And again 20 minutes later, Munchetti this time speaking to a Lib Dem representative (but not with Charlie) just said to this one
"Lets talk about your party and not Conservatives" yet Stayt allowed Javid to slag Corbyn at least half a dozen times and even at the end when Munchetti joined in the 3 of them were joking about Javids birthday today, he got a dig in at Corbyn they all had a little laugh...…….disgrace dunt cover it

If you were a shoe-in to be PM for another five years would you do anything that might scupper that?

The worst 2 for interrupting are Jo Coburn and Andrew Neil.
Jo Coburn on one interview with Andy McDonald the labour shadow Transport Minister this week she interrupted him on just about every question (if he said will you please let me answer once he said it a dozen times) and even accused him of lying, he then told her she had gone too far. latter on in the program the nasty woman had to read out a statement putting right the facts with no apology.

She did pull him on his dig though.
I usually have the BBC breakfast on in the morning and have found they always seem to interrupt and undermine the interviewee. It’s almost like it’s a point scoring exercise.
(Literally only saw from them asking him about a special day, so can’t comment on today).

I didn't see it, but if it's as bad as you say make a complaint. Not enough people complain these days and the upshot is that companies get away with far too much.

Only a man with no principles and who knows he gets through on lie after lie and does not give a t0ss about anyone but his self would not want to be interviewed.

The real tragedy is that everyone is criticizing boris, nigel, the too thick to know what they’re voting for electorate, the bbc, trump, old people for voting brexit etc without considering that with a more credible leader labour would be heading the poles. It’s rather like blaming the pitch, the weather, the ref, the linesman and the opposition for losing a match. If labour were a football team we’d be criticizing the manager, his players, the tactics rather than Blaming the opposition because we’re losing.

Nice analogy RH, but I’d offer that a good manager with a strong team should be able to outperform poorer opposition by adapting their tactics to counter a boggy pitch.

I do agree with you. Why isn’t Barry Gardner the Labour leader ? He would be a shoe into number 10. The only real intellectual of all of them irrespective of political persuasion

You’d be up in arms had Johnson been interviewed by Neil and Corbyn refused. He didn’t show at the climate debate either. Coward.

Boris is about to be interviewed on This Morning. It will be interesting to see if Schofe is as persistent in getting him to answer questions (which he NEVER does), as when trying to get an apology from Jezza over anti-semitism.

If only politicians, of whatever colour, would just answer the question asked Rather than answer the question they hoped would be asked. Interviewers have a right to interrupt to try to get them back on the subject of their question, but it doesn't seem to have any impact now.

It is all spin and no substance. It is my opinion that the current crop of politicians is the worst in my lifetime which spans 14 prime ministers.
