I have not made defamatory allegations with regards to drug use. I never said she used drugs and as far as I’m concerned she never did. Her boyfriend brought a chap to a get together who was a friend of his and claimed to smoke a lot of weed. That probably needed clarification but the rest of it is as read.

we shouldn’t be sending people with these personalities to Westminster.

What are "these personalities"? Someone who had a boyfriend who had a friend who used cannabis? Jesus.

That’s not what I’m saying is it? That was sentence fragment from the rest of what I’ve posted with regards to her.

So the accusations against her are that she toed the party line and played the game to get into a position of potential power, she has a boyfriend who knows someone who smoked weed, and she’s under 25.

    Burn her at the stake...

Perhaps a younger more progressive outlook would do the Labour Party good. I hope she wins her seat.

"We shouldn't be sending people with these personalities to Westminster".

Well, talking about personalities what about this assoil Conservative candidate for Hastings and Rye Sally Ann Hart also chairman of Bexhill and Battle Conservative Association and a Magistrate to boot as said Disabled people with learning disabilities should be paid less as they don't understand money this week at hustings and your on about someone smoking a bit of weed I am not saying all Torys have this unsavoury mentality towards other people but most do that's why they are called the nasty party.

Sorry guys, am I missing something here. Isnt the Rother Valley MP the excellent Caroline Flint.? I'll apologise in advance if wrong. I've said to my Wife (who ate food tins from Poland in the strike) tonight that Corbyn just isnt electable. He just isnt. You guys have a left wing echo chamber here but step outside. The men/women in cheltenham/chelmsford/leicester etc are never going to vote him into No 10. Call em out but its a simple fact. Lose this time, drop the hard lefty stuff and go again

Thing is it's the "hard lefty stuff" that is appealing to the younger voters especially and what is needed after years of austerity. The main problem is Brexit splitting the vote. How anyone can want Johnson as PM after the mess he made of being Mayor of London and foreign secretary is beyond me.

Unfortunately people rarely get to the top of any hierarchical human organisation without stepping over people, same with politics.

She's also far from excellent and has broken the party whip on many occasions, so was lucky to be reselected.

Politics is a " dirty" game. I have known several MP's and locally elected Councillors personally down
the years and at times have been concerned over the antics that some of them could get up to.

The " Donnygate" case served as a classical example as to how greed and self interest can corrupt those
who claim that their vocation in life is to serve their constituents. I knew a Councillor caught up in that affair
and believe me, it has affected his and the lives of a number of innocent people to this day.

If ‘ lefty hardy stuff’ is wanting:
to live in a fairer society,
An end to Austerity which during this period has seen the creation of more billionaires and more people falling into poverty( including working people) rise of homelessness and food kitchens. Tax cuts for the rich. More and more public services cut, and more outsourcing of public services. I could go on and on.
You talk about stepping outside the ‘ left wing echo chamber’ but what is that? If it’s opposing what this current rotten, lousy lot are doing and proposing then yes. For years and years I keep hearing and ( locally) about political parties being all the same, and under Blair they weren’t far off the mark, Labour now offer a very different route, something that gives a lot back to the ordinary folk of this country, hence the largely owned multi-billionaire media outlets constant attacks on anything that goes against their ideology. The people of these places you mention have probably never experienced attacks on their communities with such devastating long- term effects that still continue today. If ever there was a time to stick 2 fingers up to this elitist establishment this is it. Sadly, it seems many people are allowing Brexit to be the central issue of this GE instead of what it should be about. I focus on policies rather than leaders, but to focus on the leaders of the 2 main parties, Corbyn unelectable perhaps, Johnson shouldn’t be let anywhere near where important decisions are required.

Real world though mate.. the Country as a whole is never going to elect someone with policies perceived as being so far left of centre. No good having the policies if you never get a chance to implement them.

I’m in the real world, I keep hearing this left of centre thing, what is left of centre? Who decides where centre is? Not all of the Labour Party policies are that different from the Tories? I hear people say they’re not voting Labour simply because Of Corbyn, now you tell me it’s their Policies?
