The point of a catch phrase is that even annoying ones are memorable and recognisable. The fact that everyone is talking about it, tweeting about it, can predict he’s going to say it every time he opens his mouth shows it’s working a treat.

I'm afraid it's underlining the support of former Labour voting brexiteers - the ones who always voted labour simply cos they were working class - but have swallowed the 20 years of drip fed anti EU propaganda - they just want this **** show to end and are easily convinced that voting for Boris will make that happen.

I was watching the programme from Wakefield last night and it simply reinforced my view on this - lots of ex labour voters just wanting to get Brexit done, no one asked them what happens next, what they hoped would happen, it's as if Brexit is an end in itself.

Forgive them for they don't know what they're doing.

    Biblical proportions. Typical remain hyperbole.

    There's literally no hyperbole there.
    You may need a dictionary
If you find it you can underline it - happy to discuss.

If you've ever seen me post anything pro Corbyn - again; happy to discuss.

Unlike you - I actually have a valid and informed nuanced opinion - I''m on no side of any childish binary debates.

You're just happy throwing rocks - just say 'OK maybe there wasn't any hyperbole - but I don't like you because ... you don't like Boris.

I'm amused you used the word hyperbole wrongly and when challenged just spouted b0ll0x assuming I'm a Corbynite who'd back down.

And I like to call out bullsh1t merchants.

They clearly think we’re so thick that we can only think in sound bites - here’s a few past & present:
1 Strong & stable (or weak & wobbly)
    2 take back control
    3 Get brexit done
4 we know what we voted for (no, no one can agree - Johnson, Farage etc all have different views - if it was indeed to leave without a deal (as many say, why are we trying to get a deal?)
    5 oven ready
    6 unleash the potential

When saying these, don’t forget to punch forwards in an ill-times manner!

We’re better than this, aren’t we?

None of these make any sense

gets called out and asked to explain something. Writes can’t be arsed instead.

Is it any wonder folk get accused of stuff they “claim” they aren’t.

I saw an interesting view on Barnsley for Brexit. The writer suggested that as UK puts money into the EU, all the money from EU which has been spent locally, is our money anyway. The EU money comes from the European Regeneration Fund.
I'd love to ask the writer why, after years of Tory rule do places like Goldthorpe need regeneration in the first place. A clue would be the way EU funds are distributed as opposed to government. Tories always invest where they feel they'll get something back ie: votes. They're never going to take enough votes in Goldthorpe so the money would go to some marginal seat down south as a sweetener and the likes of Goldthorpe can go and fester. EU puts the money where it's most needed, regardless of political leanings.
So the Barnsley for Brexit team are actually proposing taking money from EU and handing it over to Johnson, Gove, Rees Mogg et al to do with it what they will. I think most right thinking people know where that's going end

This is what a lot of the thick people simply do not seem able to grasp.

Now I'm not calling everyone who votes a certain way thick but it is such a sad state of affairs that so many truly are and yet are given so much influence into major decisions made that affect them and us all

Been trying to explain this to people for the last 3 years . Can't remember the figures but the Dearne Valley has received billions in funding from the EU. The only answer you get is "it's our money we gave them".

On the same track....if we leave the EU will we all get rebates to the amount they claim it costs each person for membership, will we see increased investment in our area due to the extra money the country will apparently have, or will that money be used to give tax cuts to the rich and big businesses?

It's no coincidence that the areas who voted to leave the EU are the areas who have been treated the worst by the UK government.

It was basically uneducated (on the subject) people voting for a change from what they had now but due to the lack of education blaming the wrong people

It's worse than that though - the money going to the EU isn't going to come back to the UK. We all know the economy will shrink - the economy will lose more money than we will 'save', so there isn't even any money being saved to give out in tax cuts.

We currently send 0.5% of GDP to the EU - the economy has already lost more money than that since we voted to leave. It's not beyond belief that if we leave with a deal the economy will shrink by 3 or 4%, and if we leave without a deal it could be double that.
