Not quite sure how we are still in this. They have technically better players than us and they are playing like all Harris’ teams - with a lot of commitment and energy. Add to that our Michael Mouse defending and a Stevie Wonder type Ref, and things look bad.BUT we are still in it and we have caused them some difficulties in and around the box so, hope springs eternal!
We have got into some decent positions, but equally they look dangerous from any crosses. Brown needs to get more involved.
Final Score reporter has just said we’ve had more, better chances than the home side. Is he at a different game too?
Think we have pretty well matched Cardiff chances wise. We have been far more accurate in passing in the final third. More shots, more on target too. they have won most of the aerial headers- Surprise surprise!! and we have committed (orv rather the ref has awarded)more fouls 3-11. Still well in it and I disagree re the defence. Cardiff are lively and we would probably have shipped a few more a few weeks back. They have a couple of big bug*ers cuasing problems on set pieces not helped by them being awarded free kicks in dangerous areas. We are still well in the game (in spite of the referee!)
Looks about right to me. The stats also bear that out. Apart for the goal they have had no shots on target and Radlinger hasn't had to make a save.
I think he must be. Yes. I’ve seen two close long range efforts. Two from close range that should have been buried and a goal disallowed for a close offside. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve not made this mammoth journey to see us lose. But I’m not about to put a Pair of Paul Conway specs on when I watch a game.
we definetly look the better team IMO but they look dangerous on the break and Ben Williams is gifting them possession a bit too much for my liking, normally one of our better performers though
We are always going to struggle a bit against this kind of team. It's a bit like watching rugby - they are playing for fouls so they can get in good kicking positions to deliver set-pieces. Like trying to win penalties in rugby and kicking for goal. The Welsh love rugby so maybe that's why they tolerate this sort of thing. But I'd be bored out of my head if I watched this every week. Mendes-Laing looks like a good player though.
