    As others have said there was no reference to Hearts in the statement released by our owners.

    If you listen to Conway's interview on Radio Sheffield he states they still have a claim to DS and are due compensation. Hearts are saying this is not the case.

    who are we to know.....other than we do know that he had been offered the chance to extend his contract with us and he hadn't committed to doing that. Money talks and if he was in an advanced state of negotiation with another club then why would he sign up with us. no loyalty in football.

    It was definitely Huddersfield. You speak to multiple targets normally, but not all of them progress if you get a good feeling about your top target.

    I think Stendel thought he was nailed on for a couple of different jobs.

    Fair enough, I appreciate you are much more in the know than I am over things connected to the inner working s of the club.
    My thought was based purely on timing and Cowleys etc.

    This is all getting about as clear as mud. Hearts will refer to the compensation issue that has been discussed in the press but the press statement from our owners relates to a championship club. So effectively we're in the middle of a s***-show with clubs from the championship and the SPL.

    Leon Wobschall has just tweeted to say that he understands that DS is not happy with the BFC Statement. DS also posted a link to the Hearts Statement 15 minutes ago. No comment added but linking to the statement itself suggests he's making one. The plot thickens......

    its 2 separate issues

    stendel was laid off due to talking to Huddersfield, at this point the club thinks he’s on gardening leave, he thinks he’s been sacked

    hearts appoint him as manager, we shout he’s still under contract you owe us cash, they say you’ve sacked him we owe you nowt.

    Huddersfield haven’t got much involvement as such unless we take them for an unfair approach, but as it seems they didn’t make the first move (probably was done through agents) we can’t make anything stick there,

    Yeah I get that. I'm looking at the picture overall. We're after compensation from Hearts, they felt it necessary to release a press statement to clarify their position, we're now making accusations about another championship club and many of us still feel the truth is yet to come out. What a mess.
