No surprises there. There are two sides to this whole s**t-show and we've only heard one. The other side should be interesting.
So we release a statement, and a video interview with Conway, in which Hearts and Stendel are accused of various misdemeanours. Then, the aforesaid Hearts publicly and officially disagree with our statement. Then, and allegedly at this stage, Daniel Stendel also appears to disagree with it. And some people claim the board know what they are doing and we should back them? F*** that! We're bottom of the league FFS. We're a complete and utter laughing stock. Incompetent is too mild.
Be interesting to know to what extent his 'right to reply' is allowed. Clouded by NDA probably. Would love to hear it though.
Is it possible Hearts might have thought they were the team accused of tapping Stendel up.In fairness the club made it clear it was a Championship club.
I assume Hearts would have consulted legal advisors before releasing their statement. Assuming they did, I can't believe that they could misunderstand our statement in that way. I'd be gobsmacked if they did, as you say, it was quite clear that it referred to another Championship club.
If I'm Dale Tonge and I've been tapped up to do the dirty on my home town club then I reckon I would have said something.
I just take it as making it clear their involvement in employing Daniel is nothing to do with them tapping him up.
The Hearts statement is in reply to ours where it says we are due compensation from them as DS was still under contract, they are clearly dsaying they have seen evidence stating otherwise and DS was free to join any club he wished
Paul Conway: regarding Hearts "if anyone else is tampering with our rights, we are going to expect compensation. Hearts have our letter" By the way tampering is the American word for tapping up.
if anybody else is tampering with our rights, we are going to expect compensation. Hearts have our letter
Not from what i have read today or listen to on the BBC interview, there are 2 contrasting statements. Conway believes that Hearts owe us compensation for appointing the services of DS, Hearts are saying he was free to join another club. He wasn't speaking to Hearts until 2 weeks ago so there could be no tampering/tapping up because as far as they are concerned and from the evidence they have seen they don't have a case to answer
