Can’t both be true? I’m not trying to say there’s no spin here but it could be that the effective legal restrictions initially gave way to a desire to sort the issue out in a way that wouldn’t reflect so badly on the club and on Stendel.

Doesn't seem possible for both to be the reason to me.

I personally don't think they can no. But that's just my opinion.

I hope he does and soon because the speculation isn't going away based only on the statement released by our owners.

Whether its all true or not I don't know or really care tbh. Stendel has gone and I and others are right behind Gerhard..
But whoever is " king" it really doesn't matter a jot. When the same people are pulling their strings.. and tying their hands from above ..

Just my opinion Helen. But if you'd had a relationship with a partner that you'd had a great time with. Created lovely children with. Then that partner went behind your back to set up with someone else behind your back. even though they were fed up how you had treated them in their eyes.. Would you be eager to thank and say go with your blessing. I may not agree how it was handled but can see a reason. Think it was interesting that Conway wouldn't say whether Stendel would be welcomed back. Obviously the relationship has become strained. Like a broken marriage. Some get over it and agree to put up appearances for the kids. Some irreparable.
My marriage would have broke up if it wasn't for the kids. I said "you're avin em" she said " no thar avin em" still together. :)

I picked up on that too, it was clear (to me) that what ever went off was more than professional, it was clear there was a genuine dislike

All thoroughly logical if you take what Conway said as what actually happened. I'm a long way from being convinced about that.

We were both at the meeting mate and agree Stendel was sacked. From a legal point of view I'm not 100% who raised legal proceedings. Was Stendel looking to sue the club. Or was it about Huddersfields illegal approach. ( The two clubs rumoured at the time were Hudders and Sunderland.Statement says championship club.) If Huddersfield tried to tap him up. Then they should be reported. Although this type of complaint is not unusual I can't remember a case being challenged or resolved. I've listened to the interview and to be honest he's not said anything that you or I weren't aware of that wasn't said in the meeting regarding the strategy. Apart from trimming the squad hopefully to invest in fewer with better quality. Seems they're prepared to listen to what Struber wants. Although still with younger players in mind. I'm not sure what everyone wanted him to say in the interview. But I do know anything said will be pilloried. Like you Jay I'm not sure 100% what he says is what happened. But he's leaving himself open if not. I'm hoping the strategy works because the play doesn't match the results on the field.

    Nah. Not buying it.

The board were very clear on the plans when they bought the club. Should be no surprises for DS. And to be fair, As has been said many a time, a fair few of the ones that left did because they wanted to - regardless what the club could offer.

Anyone who believes a word our board says is a complete idiot. They have proved to us at every level they are incompetent liars. I can’t blame any party for wanting to leave this naive, ambition-less direction of our club of which the owners don’t care one jot about. They sold the manager out in the summer, it is upto the board to build relationships with our staff for god sake who in their right mind would want to work with this strategy. Get em Out.

Can you say specifically what they've lied about I'd like to genuinely know. Please don't come out with the ******** regards what they regarded to consider the best transfer period in our history. Twisted to suit. Obvious to those who know what they meant. Full on genuine lies not your presumptions.

Actually that has happened to me. Tbh it was the way my ex acted after that was worse. Daniel hasn't really slagged the owners off in public though. Still doesn't change the good parts though. You can't re write history is what I'm saying.

The legal reasons why they couldn't explain more when they issued the 21 word statement?

Correct Helen but the public in this case wanted answers. Yes we need Daniel to respond. Could be as enlightening as the statement put out by the club.
Im not so sure they've slagged him off but needed to put the reasons out there.
