Well so far getting there and the hotel doesn't seem too bad ... I'm guessing the price of food and beer is high? Only likely to be there a couple of days.
Went in the summer for a week. Very pricey food and drink..£8 for a pint but tere are cheaper places. Meals were about £20 for a decent main course. Public transport is very good reasonably priced and you can hire electric bikes payas you go. Also bike transport around the city is easy, plenty of bike lanes, plenty of cycle parkig too. Train to Malmo also very quick< Malmo being a bit cheaper. If you are staying a couple of Days and like museums try the Copenhagen card or pass which offer free entry to museums / transport but only worth it if you are going to 2 a day some museums actually free on some days. Its a bloody marvelous place IMHO. The round tower is a relatively cheap / interesting tourist spot. Ive got a guide if you would like it..can drop it off for you at the next match if you want.
Fab, thanks. Still awaiting confirmation details, but looks like it will be a day of football (in Malmo, where we will be staying), and a day of sightseeing up to us, but probably Copenhagen. Guide would be good. I'll send a PM, when I know my arrangements for Wed/ Sat to see if I can collect. Thanks.
Haha, sadly we saw very little of MT or the area. I'll have to go back! This time we will definitely have time set aside for looking around.
Both brilliant. In Copenhagen, if you don't mind drinking larger than happy hours cut the cost of beer, but if you're picky like me then it's not cheap. Price of food was fine though. There's some amazing street food spots with brilliant food at low prices. Train to Malmo is dead easy, although you do need your passport now. Loved the place though. Great contrast of modern architecture and medieval buildings. Oh and the joy of simple civilising things like free public toilets. Amazing what nice things you can have when you don't mind paying a little bit more tax...
