Is there a more frustrating player?
Moments of brilliance, and then stuff that I wouldn't expect from U14s. If ever a lad needed some coaching....

His efforts at holding off players are ridiculous. Gets his body in the way, and either forgets where the ball is, or just gets bundled out of the way. Time after time. Looks like a scared child.

Balloons a corner 15 yards past everyone when we've just sent everyone up.
And then in injury time, Mowatt shows him where he wants it, and he smashes it past him.

To be fair to him, at least there is something there, but he really does put me through it.

It’s all over the pitch Fired, I’m sure they ARE working on it but it must be galling for the coach to watch the same mistakes week after week, they may be young but they are basic mistakes like switching off for a second at key moments ( both ends) .
At the start I actually thought they had learned about not pratting about in defence , then second half unbelievably that big daft bugger at the back ( given how many times he’s been caught out) gifts them a free run on goal!!!!!

Should have scored early on to put us in the ascendency - but hit it tamely with the side of his right boot from around 3 yards out.

And that over-hit corner late on - what was that about?

Then on 92 minutes, an over-hit pass close in their box when well placed. Frustrating!

Thought he played well tonight me. Best of a bad bunch at least, tried getting things going and he’s adding more to the defensive side of his game.

The negatives would be his insistence on not shooting and his initial shielding of the ball is very suspect. Very very suspect.

That early on was a great opportunity. Should have put his foot through it.

I thought he was magnificent in the first half tonight, created a few chances with good passes and looked comfortable on the ball. I've not got a clue what happened in the second half, but it wasn't just him. The entire team started giving the ball away and heads noticeably dropped when the equaliser went in. Lucky to get a point in the end, probably due to Reading's crapness.

    !

Exactly! Frustrating. From brilliant to a very long way from brilliant.
The coaches need to work with him instead of toting him as our “experienced player” because some of the mistakes are seriously schoolboy. That corner at the end and the continual failure to hold off players in particular.
Think he could be brilliant but is a long way off at the moment just on basics.

Definitely frustrating but in my opinion he is our most technically gifted player. If we had a half decent side I think he'd be more influential.

As one of our veteran players, he's obviously too old to last a full game. He probably needs to be replaced by someone younger and fitter, like Charlie Adam, for example...

And yet he laid one up on a silver platter for Woodrow in injury time who air-kicked.

Bahre was our best player tonight. We weren't great by any stretch, but we were much better than Reading and still didn't win. Story of our season so far. The game is about scoring more and conceding little. Not being the best side. Leeds proved that when they came here weeks ago. We were the better side that day. Then we shot ourselves in the foot and they take the spoils. I'd be here all night listing each time it's happened. But it's happened, arguably, in every Struber game so far. I could easily claim we were the better side at Blackburn, at Boro, in Cardiff and in the two home games.

    Four points from 15.

I’d say Mowatt was our best player.

He was my second choice. He's Mr Consistent. Running away with Player of the Year in my book.
