Whatever the reason I can almost guarantee in less than two years time a large majority of them will be wishing they hadn’t

You cant discount the Corbyn factor. He needs to resign if Labour are ever to become a credible force again. I still voted Labour even though I cant stand the bloke but I know a lot couldn't stand the thought if him being PM.

Quite simply, whether you like Brexit or not, whether you wish it had never been raised or not, it's because we had the referendum, we voted, the answer was to leave, and ordinary people in this country just want their politicians to do what they were f*cking told to do.

Most people are not deep thinkers. They just want people to act honourably. They dont understand the intricacies of it. They see in black and white. We told you to do it. You didn't. Labour are still suggesting they are going to let it fester and avoid doing what was asked. So f*ck em.

    That's how people feel.

Labour have been hammered. My own view which I've held for a while is that it's because of the effect of Brexit in traditional Labour areas among working - class voters coupled with weak leadership from Jeremy Corbyn. I think Brexit is a disaster and I think Corbyn is a good bloke but the above is how I've been reading things for a while. The country could really do with a Labour government in my view but the Tories are on the front foot now.

But it was the Tories that didn't do it!

The reality is that the tories are fc uking up Brexit and the along with their mates in the media have managed to spread the blame to Labour - which I find baffling, I appreciate it's not simple - but it's far from complicated, adults ought to understand it.

I appreciate the recent history to which you are referring. But these people, backbone of the country, good solid people, saw a choice at this election

Tory - give me a majority and we will do what you asked

Labour - we'll negotiate yet another deal, stringing it out for another year. Then we'll make you vote again. And we can't even tell you which way we'll campaign.

******* bonkers stance. And it has cost them hundreds of thousands of votes from ordinary working class people who don't like being p1ssed about like that.

absolutely right DSL - and those Leaver working class people didn't like being told they 'didn't know what they were doing' or the result of a DEMOCRATIC was so close it had to be re-run - or they were idiots, racists, mad etc (see earlier political thread on this board!)
Once Corbyn called for another election the Labour party was fkd.
