"Asked who he would back as the next leader, he picks out Rebecca Long-Bailey, Angela Rayner and Richard Burgon, from what he calls the “new generation”." Will somebody please tell him Thursday's result?
Long-Bailey is bad enough, but Burgon! Haha - are they trying to lose the rest of the country as well?
He's playing into the Tories' hands, they'll be loving it. 10 years of Johnson to look forward to at this rate
Come on it should have swung back after the last 2.5 years on May and Boris. I think it needs to be forced back not just wait
Raynor, Starmer, Clive Lewis or Lammy just to wind up the Gammons. All good shouts. Labour will not be embracing the kill millions and suck off murdoch Blairism again any time soon and not should they.
people need to suffer and really suffer and **** me they are going to and good they absolutely deserve it.
We are collateral but we will all have to suffer and organise. The far right will take us back to the 1910s / 1920s from which sprung the union movement and the Labour Party. We all need to suffer. I welcome it. I hope the next 10 years is unending misery for working class people. They need to get real and get organised.
we need to hit rock rock bottom. The working class need to have free health care removed and free state education. They need to be left with nothing. Luckily Johnson will deliver that. The bottom line is whatever they get they deserve. They will get no solidarity from me. **** the racist gammons.
Apart from her voice? **** me did it grate in the lead upto the GE. All joking aside, she must have been on TV nearly every day giving interviews on behalf of Labour, she came across quite well I thought.
My only post on politics. Keep reading that 56% voted against Boris/conservatives etc Barnsley Dan Jarvis MP got 40% of vote so 60% voted against Labour Brexit party and Conservatives together got 4000 more votes than Labour Just saying that’s all
Stephanie Peacock got 38% of vote so 60% of people in both constituencies get represented by someone they didn’t believe in
Look at the age profiles of the electorate and who they voted for. I'm confident that in the future Corbyn will be seen as having started a movement rather than being the end of one.
There is something wrong with our electoral system though Lib Dem’s and Labour combined got more votes than the Tories but have no power the Tories have total powerit takes almost 10 times as many votes to elect a Lib Dem mp to getting a Tory one That can’t be right.
Yes but in 5 years the outcome of ‘Get Brexit done’ and the impending hits on workers rights, creation of further Billionaires and Higher poverty and homelessness, not to mention the gradual privatisation of the NHS, should be enough to piss the electorate off
