Just a feeling but i cant see wilkes being here very long. Disapointing cos he had a blinder against fulham.
It was from the Christmas party, 100%. I don't like people's attitude towards him on this forum. He's a young lad who's made a few mistakes, we've all got a past. He's a talented lad, and when he gets his chance and hits abit of form (it will happen) then he will be the main man. Unbelievable talent, he just needs an arm.around him.
Exactly look at conor chaplin , i have to admit i didnt hold much hope for this lad. But jaysus hes smoking (not as in the same context as wilkes) No wonder weve been after him for a while
How is it ridiculous? He shows no desire whatsoever. He hasnt been on the subs bench , the manager has chosen lads from the academy, who maybe have have a better attitude?
I remember people saying the exact same things about Hourihane on here. People said he wasn't good enough for league 1 and he didn't care because he couldn't tackle. He's now scoring screamers in the Premier league. Don't jump to conclusions, he's a good kid. Popular in the dressing room, hes just not had a stage to perform on when we were getting dicked every week. He's never played at this level, he's young and he's got alot on his mind. He'll come good.
No disrespect but im not convinced malik wilkes will follow the same path as conor hourihane. He doesnt seem to have much desire, i hope he proves me wrong because like i stated earlier, he was brilliant against fulham. Lets hope he sorts himself out and kicks on from here
Exactly pal, all that hard work as a kid to make it as a professional footballer to end up posting pics of you smoking whatever when you cant get in team (3 managers now have sussed him, wasted talent)
By out I meant out boozing. That picture suggests they’re on a night out. I’ve no doubt they’ll do other socialising which I couldn’t care less about as long as they get enough sleep & make it to training
Can’t see the fuss then. I’ve not been impressed with him since he joined us but I saw him enough times last season to know the same as you that there’s plenty of talent there. People have put two & two together & made five with Wilks but for all we know he could be training really well but the manager doesn’t think he suits his system or something like that
A young lad, smoking or vaping the day after a Xmas piss up with his work mates, with a week till the next game. Go for it lad I say. Still reckon he has a big part to play in our season.
