    A four year contract at circa £5 million per annum plus bonuses for an " untried" Manager is a massive
    gamble. As well as that, Man City are looking for £2 million in compensation.!

    Arteta' s first job is to convince Lacazette and Aubameyang that their futures are at Arsenal
    because both were rumoured to be unsettled under the former boss Unai Emery.

    As far as Arteta is concerned at 37 years of age, it's an absolute no brainer. It's ironic that the first
    game following his appointment is at his former Club Everton where he is still viewed as an absolute
    legend. He's not going to take over the helm until next week, so he should be able to relax and watch
    the game in comfort in the Main stand at Goodison tomorrow.

    Shows how far they have fallen when even Everton look like getting Anchelotti. If he didn't have the prior link to the club he wouldn't be getting the job. It would be like us giving our job to Neil Redfearn just because he was a good player for us. Champions League strikers, Europa League midfielders and mid table premier league defence. Gone are the days of them having arguably the greatest back six ever of Seaman, Winterburn, Keown, Adams, Bould and Dixon. They have no chance of keeping them two strikers beyond next summer. Both will want to win things and play champions league football.

    I wonder if we could persuade Arteta’s agent to negotiate our trade deal with the EU. We might get that £350 million for the NHS after all...
