If we can recruit a couple of quality or championship experienced defenders and hang on to our better players I have no doubt we will stay up ( comfortably)

I’d say in a par with. We have longer to do it but perhaps a worse team.

Didn’t we have get a record number of points that year though? Suspect 50 would be more than enough this time around

Absolute nonsense to suggest we have a worse team.
Who’s worse than Jimmy McNulty, Tom Kennedy, Stephen Dawson, Jacob Mellis, Tomas Cywka, Kelvin Etuhu, Chris O’Grady, etc. etc.

Not sure we do have a worse team, I'm far from convinced by some of the defence but that team was poor it was just flickers motivation that kept us up.

The back 4 was probably better even with Tom Kennedy and the keeper but the midfield and forward line in the current team is definitely better

O'Grady was a good player. Dawson was solid enough for a while, and Mellis had his moments...

That defence had Foster and Cranie, who are streets ahead of our current centre backs. Kennedy and Wiseman were shocking though. Perkins in front of them was great too - he'd make a good impact on our team now (is he was still in his prime)

Those lads though Steele would get in our goal and Cranie and Foster would be our central defenders just for starters.
