What about his performance yesterday? I don't think it would be a bad idea to give Collins another run out in a busy series of games. It won't happen, because we didn't lose, but there were a couple of occasions when he went for the ball and completely missed and was lucky that Millwall didn't capitalise on those mistakes. What's your opinion?
Yes I think Collins should be given the chance as he is far more composed on crosses and is just as good of a shot stopper as Radlinger
Radlinger is a good goalkeeper, I don’t know why folk aren’t getting behind him and using him as some kind of scape goat. I’m comfortable whichever starts. Rads got blamed in the QPR game by some on here when he was one of the better performers, pulled off potentially best save I’ve seen at oakwell and couldn’t do much more with their goals. But then logged into here for calls to see him dropped.
As ive stated before the defence needs to stay as it is unless there's injuries. They've got to get used to each other and I think the communicating is starting to come and Radlinger is a big part of that. Having said that if Struber started with Collins I wouldn't be unhappy.
Radlinger seems enthusiastic, confident keeper whos good with his feet but does have a tendency to flap at corners and has a hole in his middle when someone shoots at him but i still like him and would stick with him until he drops a major bollock which will come then Collins needs to take his chance which in turn will only benefit us, 2 decent keepers fighting for the shirt.
I’d like Collins back in who I think will eventually play premier league football he’s got enough time at 22years old had a fantastic season last year at burton and has shown glimpses of his class this season when called upon. Yes he did a howler against stoke but I think his all round game is better than Radlingers who as mentioned has a tendency to flap and is no where near the shot stopper Collins is. Having said that I don’t dislike radlinger I think we’ve done excellent work in the summer getting these 2 in on a free.
Radlinger is experienced. We are crying out for that in other areas. Struber maybe using as an example.
He’s good off his line as a sweeper and a decent shot stopper bust looks scared to death whether to come for crosses or not to me
Previous to us; Radlinger has played 70 1st team games for several clubs since 2009. Collins has played 70 1st team games for Burton and Forrest Green Rovers since 2017.
So previous to this season Collins was way more experienced in English football and in eight less years as a pro.
