Why has it taken this long for him to get a game? I know he lost the ball a few times but apart from that he was outstanding
Clarke had yet another great game today. Did the simple things well, made some great runs and I agree about the delay in starting him, why he never got a run earlier in the season is beyond me. He has a very bright future.
He's so composed and classy, on his form so far, the position is his. I think one of the reasons he occasionally loses the ball is that he is always trying to pass the ball positively, forwards, or into space for runners. Very rare to see him turn back or pass sideways. He's quick too, there were a couple of occasions in the first half where he seemed to have got dragged too central, but got back quickly, didn't dive in, stood up to his man. Looks to be the dependable and consistent full back we've been trying to find for a while, excellent player.
Ever so slightly worried about Leeds' buyback clause if they bottle promotion again... He looks great. Is he a natural left back? ESPN commentator at Millwall was saying otherwise
Described as a versatile left sided player. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2019/august/oduor-2023/
I’m glad he wasn’t playing earlier, took the right time to settle and adapt to the club and it’s players? Introduced to the team once ready (although injury might have quickened this process) Its what should have happened to the rest of the defenders.
Oduor was fantastic today. Hard to believe it was only his second game, looks a real find. Also thought Jordan Williams had his best game for us today. He’s getting better every week now.
We don’t know any detail but surely if there is by back clause it is first refusal if we sell. It can’t be they can just come and buy him back in January or the summer whether we want to sell or not. Otherwise it’s basically a loan
Thinking cynically about it.. buy for 500k, pay 6 months wages, sell for 1m in January sounds like a good commercial deal.
We would be absolutely mad to sell him. He looks like a premier league player in the making. Only 3 games, but dropped in out of position, against some very handy opponents. We'd be mad to sell any of our best players in January, a very high bid for Woodrow maybe, as he may free up cash for some proper stengthening of the team. our two centre backs are our weakest link. I think either could learn a lot alongside a loanee till the end of the season. I'd give Collins the shirt now too. He is our long term keeper & hasn't made the mistakes Radlinger has.
There’s no way we’d allow a buy back clause in a contract for a young player that we’d recently signed. Some of you lot must think our Club is run by idiots!
Great signing. In fact I’d go as far as to say this summers transfer window was the best in the clubs history
The new and improved Yiadom had another great game and deserved the MOTM. We are in good form with him finally getting starts.
