We are clearly improving both individually and as a team. The goals against tells us we need to improve at the back. We also need to be looking to bring someone in for the role Woodrow is playing. Either so we can get Cauley back up front or to replace him when he's sold. We are all waiting to see what happens in January now. Let's hope teams don't come in for our players. Although our upturn in form .ay have put them in the shop window.
The only way we can afford a Cauley back as a striker is to buy a talented ball hungry midfielder. it’s not a fluke that our performance has improved since we played him deeper. It’d be daft to replace Chaplin w Woodrow and put one of our other attacking midfielders back in. We’d be back to scoring no goals.
I watched the re-run of yesterday's game on EFL on Quest last night. The match commentator, guest presenter Darren Bent and host Colin Murray were all very complimentary about our performance against the Baggies. They all agreed that we dominated proceedings for long spells and that their keeper Johnstone kept them in it. In his summary, Darren Bent said that he thinks we are in for a very good second half to our season.
not at all BMW... it's what they do, it's the plan.... bring in a young obscure player, develop them to their best ability then sell.... repeat ad nauseum.
You usually post some common sense stuff Helen, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume there was some festive pre-match drinking involved. WBA taking a point was a travesty.
Sitting in the Ponty I felt more action was at our end during the whole match hence me thinking a draw a fair result. Totally agree they were cheating, diving time wasters but that's the sort of attitude that keeps you in the Championship I fear. Think we did great but tbh I think offensively we ve been good most of the games I've watched.
