I will have some guesses based off our love of a under 23 player, but based off our Hourihane, Mawson, Winnall etc days of buying lower league British players who have done well....... Central Defender: Elliott Moore at Oxford. Signed from Leicester only in the summer so could be difficult. But he's been involved in a high ratio of clean sheets to get them up the league and at 6ft 5 he would bring even more height to our back line. Striker: Tyler Walker. On loan at Lincoln he's stepped up again to prove last season wasn't a one off and in a higher league too. Scored 10, set up 2 and 52% of his shots have been on target according to BBC website. Defender: Anton Walkes. Played 17 games for Portsmouth this season and only been booked once which for his position is good. He's 23 in February and out of contract in the summer. I don't think the step up will be a struggle as playing in front of the big crowds Pompey get and dealing with the expectation of their fans he will be alright.
News flash. Cudworth junior school on lock down phone line unconnected Barnsley are circulating... Sports master worried that their under 11s defence is raided and his team is decimated.....lol Serious note Been told our scouts have been attending Brighton under 23 games at least 3 times in last couple of months but not got any names...
Just to point out that unless the players in question have formally requested a transfer, then, in theory, they are still entitled to every penny of their remaining contract with us after the transfer, so there wouldn't really be any money "freed up"'. In reality, the club would attempt to negotiate a financial settlement with the player to pay less, but that is up to the player that is transferred "against his will" depending on how soon he wanted the money.
