I toyed with the idea of getting a pair. Had a chat with a couple of mates and ended up going for the Bose Soundsports. They're excellent and a bit cheaper than the I Pods.
Bose Sportsound are Bluetooth- £119 for ones wired between them or £150 for fully wireless - the quality is outstanding as is the method to keep the earphones in the ear
A lesson In what how to control people. In your opinion they are wasting their money so you threaten your children not to buy them. yes that’s certainly a lesson in values
I don’t understand it. I know people can bring up their kids however they want but it’s the threatening them with things they don’t like in future that I don’t get. Say the £160 Christmas money the kid wanted to spend on pods is made up of twenty quids from various people, the threat is that the kid will in future get things Toby admits he knows his kid won’t like instead of the cash. So £160 will still be collectively spent by relatives but will result in a bunch of stuff his kid has no interest in and will actively dislike. And this is somehow seen as a better use of the relatives’ money than something his kid would really love?
Well - no good suggesting any alternative if they are the ones her peer group rate. For grown up tech nerds they may not be the best - but so what? The best noise cancelling wireless earbuds that you can buy - and I use them for the gym, on aeroplanes and public transport are Sony WF 1000 MX3 A snip at £181
Whenever I get uppity with my two (Christopher's 32, Laura 25), they simply point out that it'll be them who decide which home I'll be put in! That usually shuts me up!
Hahaha, wow. Okay mate - I'm not looking to have a keyboard war with a stranger so I'll move on here. You have a good new year.
Makes me laugh, I think people who have them in look absolutely ridiculous! Russell Kane did a video the other day taking the p!ss out of them and I completely agree. A complete gimmick when you consider wired ones are a 10th of the price and are fine.
Don’t agree about the wired bit. I have a couple of pairs of Bluetooth ones which are a 10th of the price and are just great for wearing when doing various activities where cables are a pain.
Loads of school kids have the AirPods. They are now a fashion accessory. If you see teens together in meadowhell or tarn, you’ll notice the “coolest” of the group have them in. They are a bit like bottle tops stuck to your shoes for kids of the 80’s... just ridiculously priced! My main problem is... if you’re with your mates, why do you need headphones in?
I assume if they're Bluetooth that the battery, DAC and amp are all in each earbud along with the speaker. That's impressive in itself but please tell me they sound a bit pants, otherwise all the fancy large hi-fi tech we can squander our money on will really look a waste of money and space!
An absolute rip off - and very uncomfortable to wear. I have a pair of Soundbase wireless headphones that do a great job at a fraction of the price.
I got these for are lass. Personally I have the WM over ear, which are just phenomenal. As you say, for grown ups.
My last bluetooth ones were joined by a cable and they were a complete pain in the ass when running as i was constantly having to adjust them as the cable rubbed on my neck and pulled them out. I was amazed how airpods just stay where they should and never once had to touch them when running. Each to their own anyway. Its like android v apple - everyone has their favourite.
I’m sure a lot of people saying Apple ones are a rip off just don’t like Apple. It’s just the same with iPhones. People who like Android absolutely slate Apple. I’ve had android phones and hate them I stick with IPhone now. my brother is a freelance technology journalist and travels the world trying out and reviewing all this new tech. He has an huawei phone and says they are by far the best. some on here suggest Bose But if you google “Bose reputation” you’ll find it has a very poor reputation for being overpriced and poor quality. Just very good at promoting the company whenever anyone mentions Apple people just say they are a rip off yet their second gen versions of wireless earphones which the op is talking about buying are no where near the most expensive on the market
No lol but sending him on a 2 week safari to prove their camera phone was better than some high end camera might have helped You wouldn’t believe the trips he gets and freebies from all these major companies.
Huawei have by far the most overrated cameras. Probably due to people like your brother (no offence intended) getting ‘pushed’ towards good reviews with free trips. In a blind test, nobody would pick a Huawei phone image.
bit old now but he did say it wasn’t as good as a stand alone camera https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/metr...ace-your-expensive-full-size-slr-7587182/amp/
