Need more experience than what Kane would provide to the team. 21 year old with less than 40 league appearances to his name, we need championship experienced players.
I get what your saying but above all else we need quality! Jordan williams and Anderson could play for another 2 seasons and rack up alot of championship experience, doesnt mean they are any good.
To be fair yes, both have near enough the same amount of professional games played but at a higher level than Kane has. (Roberts though has an impressive 50+ appearances for Celtic)
I think Jordan is improving, but I just dont think Anderson & Diaby are good enough. Maybe one of them, with a mester by their side, but their positional sense & distribution is woeful.
Fair point mate, and to be fair having an actual centre midfielder playing in the diamond for us would've benefitted us instead of having a winger, a striker and a centre back all accompanying Mowatt in there. Actually outlining it like that makes it sound ridiculous, we're playing 4 in the middle and only one of them was a centre midfielder last season.
I'd have thought that Kane would have been perfect for us at the 'head of the diamond" but not a cheap option..
Its mental really, as bad as the defenders are if we had a solid midfield that would surely help them. Its a mess all over the field and that goes down to recruitment in the summer. The last few performances gave hope but just paper over the cracks.
Luton have loads of championship experience in their ranks they have all season isnt doing them much good though. I agree it would be welcomed but the player first and foremost needs to be good enough. People keep talking about kevin long but he has hardly played much competitive football since his stay here.
He's 21 and all he's done is played a few dozen division 3 games for a team that didn't get promoted. Don't get the hype maybe it's because he is at Liverpool. I wouldn't be wasting a loan space in our squad on someone so inexperienced.
