Not been on in a while. I bought this 81/82 shirt having found it online from a company making retro shirts. Really chuffed with it - high quality - looks good. It's the 81/82 away shirt worn by the Glavin team in the legendary 4-2 victory over Rotherham United away (they had the Ronnie Moore, Tony Towner side). Ian Banks got a historic hatrick which included an overhead kick. Glavin got the fourth with poaching on the follow up on the back post after a scorching run from Stewart Barrowclough. Quality shirts - they also do the home version, a 78/79 shirt, and a shirt that I associate with David Currie from the late eighties. Size availability is limited though.
Looks nice that. I don't wear footy shirts as they don't look good on overweight middle aged blokes, otherwise I'd be tempted.
Always been baffled that the club weren't all over this. We did it with WSB, used local suppliers & sold loads of them that I thought were good quality (sizing a bit off mind...) Lots of folk doing this now and obviously doing ok off 'em.
Have a look on Facebook at Barnsley FC Forever, they sell retro shirts as well which are excellent quality
Still the best game I’ve ever been to. Rotherham were a good side and had come up as champions with us in second place. We’ve had more important wins but this was a fabulous game and performance.
Darren Penty is who I got mine off this was his reply last when I asked him “Ones I’ve had produced have sold on Facebook Barnsley FC Forever, Barnsley FC sell and swop and BFC Memorabilia show off group pages” As Ardsley loyal states he does it all for charity. I’m not on Facebook so I can’t check
He’s thinking of doing the yellow away shirt from the 1985-86 season apparently only worn 3 times, he did send me a picture but I can’t work out how to insert it into the box ♂️
