Turned his head? Hang him. Completely unacceptable. *for the avoidance of doubt, this post was made in jest. I think it’s ridiculous that such a big thing has been made out of him turning his head slightly and those that think this makes the chants acceptable need a long look in the mirror, followed by doing some research into his views and why he holds them.
By the way what actually is ‘secretarial chanting’ can someone explain it to me what our fans actually did that centres around the charge.
Do you struggle with reading comprehension? I don't understand how you can read the below and conclude that we haven't been charged for chants relating to religion: “It is alleged that the club failed to ensure its spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from using abusive and/or insulting words which included a reference, whether express or implied, to nationality and/or religion and/or beliefs, while attending an EFL Championship fixture against Stoke City FC on Saturday 9 November 2019."
Is it definitive then ? Cos in my obviously limited grasp of comprehension and/or suggests that it may be one thing or another. There’s no full stop after religion is there ? In which case as I asked Donny Red why do his beliefs trump mine ?
No, and that's my point. You're the one who said "We haven't been fined for chanting about the Pope". I just pointed out that you can't say that for certain.
Absolutely! it makes perfect sense that the FA have fined the fans for ‘and/or beliefs’, so we can sit in our pants arguing about what beliefs should be protected. And w ank about point scoring on forums. why would it be for ‘religion’ when our fans definitely chanted ‘f *** the Pope’. I mean; that makes no sense at all. Fining Barnsley for something their fans definitely did rather than the other things on the list we can play pigeon chess about.
