I've no idea whether there's any truth in these so don't shoot the messenger, Acura Sports News suggesting on Twitter that we've moved for Sammy this evening.....

    upload_2020-1-7_23-2-20.png

Also a twitter rumour that we're looking at Greg Docherty from Rangers. Steven Gerrard has indicated he'll leave in this window.

Would he want to come back? I for one very much doubt it.

I'd say it's very unlikely to happen.

Wouldn’t he want the 17k a week he originally left us for?

I would rather eat my own $hit than have him back. Absolutely zero truth in this I reckon

Id drive him back mi sen if needed. Not the best striker we ever had but knew where net was. Him chaplin and woodrow upfront would surely mean goals galore!!

I don’t think anyone still at the club even knows who he is

I'd piggy back him back up the A61 & kiss his feet when he got here. Best striker we've had here in nearly 20 years IMO & the Peppa Pig thing makes me love him more.

I don't really think we are in a position to worry who will come cause we need goals and he did score for us

Do we need goals? Again, don't understand the focus on attack when our defence is one of the worst if not the worst in the league.

Everybody always needs goals no matter how good the defence

Can't wait for him to retire so we don't have to go through this same old rubbish every transfer window.

Teams always need goals. If Chaplin or Woodrow were to pick up an injury (or be sold) we’d be shafted. Hoping we strengthen the defence too.
SW is not the nicest bloke in the world, I think we’ve established that fact, but if he can recapture anything like the form he had with us before he can save our season.

The fact that he didn't play regularly during his loan spell at Derby and he doesn't seem able
to break into the Wednesday starting eleven, should tell us all we really need to know.
Why would he suddenly come good for us.? Sorry, but it's a no as far as I'm concerned.

Too old. Spent force. Injury prone. Not been in any kind of form since leaving us. And wouldn’t be able to cope with the physical demands of our football. And most importantly, he’s not as good as Chaplin or Woodrow.
Also, he’s a complete tit and Struber looks to be ridding the club of such characters.

Not saying we don't need more firepower as I think we do, just surprised the BBS in general is focusing on our least important area to strengthen in this window IMO.

Exactly, he isn't going to take a 12k a week pay cut. I'd like to see him go to Millwall, but only if he walked there and his feet bled, perfect fit.
