.... he's been excellent so far. Not stood for any of Huddersfield's ugly niggling and other games. Good to see.
Maybe. Important derby game, which if he'd started waving his cards early could easily have finished 10 v 9. I think he handled a difficult game very sensibly.
Let them get away with too much spoiling for too long. Didn’t get any major decisions wrong though guessing he didn’t see the stamp on Anderson by the corner flag though the linesman should have
He had a decent game overall. The only issue for me was the goalie on Brown right at the end. From where I was sat it looked like he took him out. I'd like to see it again.
Thought he was one of the poorer refs this season. He was far too soft. Why didn't he book the guy for diving in the first half if it wasn't a foul? Why didn't he book their lad for a handball in the second half? The challenge by the east stand north side corner flag would have been a yellow if their lad hadn't already been booked, so should have been a red. How come Cowley was allowed to chunter so much to the 4th official and continuously leave his technical area for the ball? They should have finished with a good nine men and he should have dished some cards at full time with all the petulance on show.
Great referee for me today. Everyone around me said the same. Let the game flow, no silly bookings, took no sh!te and saw that Diaby’s foul was careless not reckless and with no intent. He was under great pressure to produce a red for that. He booked 2 Hudds players late on for complaining about Chaplin walking off the long way which was great. Can we have him every week?
I reckon the Hudds players would be better suited to the Royal Rumble, with such physical debauchery.
I marked him like I did Huddersfield. Worst at oakwell this season. Hudds were dirty and he continually let them get away with it.
Comedy moment near the end when he was waving the cards about. We really wound them up in the last 20 mins. Excellent game management, after gifting them a chance to get back into the game.
I thought he was decent, but not sure why he let them get away with diving. Didn't cave to the pressure to send off diaby when others probably would. But the 2 bookings when Chaplin was walking off was great.
I thought he was ooor - from the East Stand on 26 mins, it looked like Jacob was pushed over in the box - towards the end, their keeper looked like he took out Brown but no foul! Again, he gave them a corner when Jordan was clearly sent flying! I thought there were some strange decisions
It's a difficult one to judge, as the keeper came charging out, which he had to do in that situation, and arrived slightly late. Brown managed to avoid him but in doing so lost his balance and failed to get his shot in. The contact looked either minimal, or non-existent. The irony is, had Brown been a touch slower or just decided to clatter straight into the keeper, it would have been a clear foul and red card. But as it was, I can't really see how a foul could be given. Certainly if something like that had happened at the other end, we'd have been fuming if Radlinger had been sent off for it.
