How good yet **** we are? The midfield has added some steel & creativity to it (very impressed by the all round Marcel whatever today) and the front two were pests & great to see Brown adding some end product to go with his pace & physicality. But f.ck me blind how bad are we at the back? If Hudds had anything about them they'd have punished one of the half a dozen chances we presented them from f.cking about. (Credit to Anderson for the first goal granted). Great game today. Well in Reds. Genuinely enjoyable.
We are shocking at the back, there are frequent, potentially costly errors from our centre halves in particular. We definitely need at least one experienced centre half brining in this month.
We do! And if we get said player, there is no reason why we won't stay up with a few points to spare. And I wouldn't have been saying THAT a few weeks ago!
I thought up until gifting them the chance they scored from (cracking strike to be fair) we were clearing our lines more directly than in any other match this season, lots of clearances into the stand etc. But we then seemed to go kamikaze again and continually play ourselves into trouble. We're not far away from being a half decent side at this level, and I'll put my hand up and admit I never saw any prospect of us improving a couple of months ago.
Doesn't mean they played well - that was my point. They were incredibly wasteful with the opportunities we gave them I thought.
