    I said we won’t hit 12 points this season at the start and people laughed. Worst team I’ve ever encountered. Bottom league 2 at the best. We all knew it! I love the club. I love the town and I will continue to go and sing my heart out. I’ve been saying this aswell for while but put a couple of actual professional footballers in our back 4. We will stop up. We can score but we have none league defenders. Maybe not even that

    Listened to Alex Mowatt on Praise or Grumble. No way that lad is leaving Oakwell in this window.
    Sounded fully committed to Strubers rescue mission and said he enjoys skippering the side.

    He sounded full of confidence when asked about our prospects of survival. Some of the sides
    around us will now be getting twitchy. Workmanlike win today without being outstanding, this team needs
    some experience before the window closes. If we get that, with the players we've already got, we should
    have enough to stay up.

    Without been harsh there isnt many championship teams he'd start week in week out let alone be captain! Its as good as its gunna get for the lad!

    How lovely, so people coming on point scoring, I told you so etc.

    At the end of day these owners still have a hell of lot of work to do to convince me but let's see what happens during the rest of this month in terms of incomings and outgoings.

    We've improved a lot under Struber but make no mistake there is still a huge amount of hard work to do. The defence terrifies me (specifically Diaby and Andersen) but hopefully we can bring in one if not two new centre backs this month.

    others in the thread state that its points scoring by you.
    nothing of the sort. its pointing out that things take time. its pointing out that may be next time when we lose 3 or 4 on the trot that this is a work in progress. that may be those same people will not start moaning about pretty much absolutely everything.
    it's nothing to do with points scoring. it's trying to make people think that we cant have success tomorrow or mebbe not even the day after. it's about pointing out to people that being patient with a young group of players can pay dividends.
