Ice skating.(winter Olympics)...sorry i know torvilie and dean won a few years ago....but cant get excited about poncing about on ice, to music.....that cant be sport.
That ***** they play in Ireland, Hurling or what ever it is. Sometimes play with sticks sometimes not. Absolutely terrible sport.
apart from the Keirin and Madison mentioned earlier I have a problem with sport for disabled athletes when there is often a huge difference in the actual physicality of the competitors in the same event.
Definitely golf. I'm not slating golf. I'm not saying it's a better or worse sport than any other, but as a TV spectacle... With every other sport, be that football, motor racing, tennis, hockey, ice dancing, darts, snooker, diving, cycling, sailing or whatever, you get to watch the competitors doing what they're good at, playing that sport. But with golf you get about half a second of them hitting the ball followed by 20 seconds of looking at the sky and two minutes of them walking to the ball, another two minutes of them practicing doing golf then we're back to half a second of taking a shot and 30 seconds of sky. You can watch it for 4 hours and see just 5 seconds of actual golf. A TV sport it is not.
During my hallucinogenic drug period of the 60’s, I particularly disliked the pro-celebrity ferret strangling, usually beamed in live from Horbury
i think you have to know the sport to pick it up on TV easily. but Bandy .... now thats a sport hard to watch on TV
Golf and F1 are high profile and popular sports that are slightly less boring than watching paint dry.
They were crazy for it when I was working in Sweden (oo-er!). I used to start work at 6am and on my way in I passed rinks where there were already matches going on.
