Reciprocal pricing is childish. If we would charge less if they did what difference does it make to us? Anyway I've given my view people disagree that's ok.
Not when people sit down and have a discussion about it - other clubs haven't done this why are they different?
I'm not defending Wednesday's ticket pricing or the attitude of the club, its poor. But we don't have to charge excessive prices back do we? What is the purpose?
What people don't realise is if piggies reduced the cost to away fans. There would be an uproar amongst their own fans. Those are the fans fleeced the most. 7 clubs in the championship charge more than the £30 cap on away fans in the premiership. Greedy B'stds. By the way I hate reciprocal pricing and presented them views at a couple of fans forums. About time the efl introduced a cap. Gives me no pleasure to rip off fans of any club by going tit for tat
Sorry I don't get all this uproar about making the likes of Washday and Weeds pay the same as they charge us to visit what is probably in both cases inferior stadia areas? We as a club are able to try to compete with the clubs whose attendances are bigger by making as much from away ticket sales over the season to help of set the imbalance in income. If the clubs with "massive" attendances still see fit to charge £39 for us to visit when they already have Massive followings of their own how can they complain when we do the same. We all know that one off sales at Oakwell rarely increase unless we have a season like the last, so the price increase for two games a season should not make that much difference to the home attendance. We make the effort to agree controlled prices with other clubs eg. Cardiff charge £20 with dying PL money but Swansea with excessive Parachute payments charge £30? but if they fail to respond what are we supposed to do charge all teams £20 and make the gap in finance bigger? so we have the best club to visit in League Two? If the EFL grew a pair and got stronger with the likes of Leeds and Wednesday and made them limit the cost of attendance with a max price we would not have this annual discussion!! Sadly they will not, mind you Tuna Boy and his mate at Derby might have to sell the team as well as the ground back to themselves to make ends meet
I'm whining as well because the decision to charge £36 also affects me. There's no justification for it, it's thinly veiled greed.
